Brother, if you actually want to lose weight: literally just eat less. If you burn more calories than you eat, you'll burn what your body has stored, and consequently, you'll lose weight.
Figure out what your BMR is, your Basal metabolic rate, and eat at or under that number. You can find free calculators online.
You can pretty much eat whatever you want within reason, as long as you're portioning it. If you really want to lose weight, cap yourself off at 2,000 calories a day- 1500 if you want to do it quickly.
For reference, 69g of bread, two slices of rye, is 180. This means one slice is 90 calories. You could literally eat 20 slices of bread for 690g of food- one and a half pounds- and still be losing weight. It's literally just about portioning. You don't even need to be doing cardio if your goal is solely weight loss.
Exercise is healthy and will make you live longer, but it's not a necessity for weight loss. It's 90% about your diet, really just about how much you're eating rather than what you're eating. If you change your eating habits, you'll be a lot happier in your body if it bothers you
Have you heard of Just Melvin, Just Evil?? Thanks funny man
How often daily do you eat your height in Big Macs?
Throwing up too much can cause throat cancer too.
I’m naturally thin, and my doctor came up to me because I have gene where I don’t get hungry as often as most, where I have to literally remind myself to eat some days because I just won’t otherwise. And I guess they are doing studies on people like myself who have this gene to help obese people lose weight. Which honestly it’s not great being to thin either, if I get upset or sad, it’s so easy for me to lose which being as small as I am I really can’t afford it. Going through my custody ordeal with my ex caused me to lose 15 lbs which doesn’t sound like much but when you are only 100 lbs to begin with. Losing 15 lbs is a big ordeal.
I urge everyone to just cut their calorie intake and take a walk around the neighborhood. No side effects other than extra energy. Be kind to yourself and remember you are beautiful and treat yourself right. God bless
South Park was right when Cartman said “rich people get ozempic and poor people get body positivity”
Sounds like someone's gotta refill their Lizzo
@ Lizzo don’t even use Lizzo anymore 😂
I like how it’s all about body positivity for everyone but then Ozempic becomes the most coveted drug…
On one hand, I wish Hunter would have a better self-esteem. On the other, I could not be happier that he isn't a proponent of fat-acceptance/body-positivity.
He doesn't pretend like the world should just treat obesity as a non-issue or some social cause just because he's overweight and feels the need or entitlement to justify it, which is what body positivity has basically become.
And it sucks, because it started as "don't hold yourself to hollywood/model standards", which is entirely reasonable and healthy, but then turned into "my doctor and society should accept me for who I am as a 600lb wheelchair bound diabetic 25 year old." It went from "don't be unrealistic" to "obesity is healthy" and I can't stand it.

It's because his business model isn't directly affected by how much or how little fitness advice he gives. Meat has no reason to waste your time giving you half-truth information. At least in regards to this topic.
I work at a pharmacy and it’s honestly bonkers how desperate people are to get their hands on wegovy/ozempic. There’s such a lack of supply that they’ve implemented a new policy that restricts everyone to a one month supply versus three. It’s sad when people with diabetes have to compete for their medication.
People with diabetes should definitely be first in line
@ you’d think but it’s a first come first served basis
had a lady from weight watchers call asking if we had wegovy 1.5 mg, told her it doesn’t exist and hung up, istg these people 💀💀💀
yeah diabetes runs in my wife's family and she was recently prescribed it after randomly just passing out and some months like she has to call around to find where it ISN'T sold out and have her doctor change the prescription. super annoying.
To be fair the drug will probably stop many of the fatties from becomming diabetic themselves. They're also eating less and becomming less of a burden on the system. So have at it.
I had ozempic face and ozempic butt after having bariatric surgery 10 years ago. It is just what happens when you have rapid weight loss from anything.

Okay Okay, real talk. I got this $27 under the desk pedal machine. I use it when I am at my desk. I got it to prevent the risk of blood clots. I never sweat, feel winded, or feel like I have gotten a leg workout. It's just about keeping the legs moving. However, I have actually steadily been dropping in pounds over the months since I got it. Granted, I don't drink soda or eat candy, but I eat large portions for my meals. From Chinese to toasted sandwiches. So ya, under the desk pedal machine.

Having a factor ad on the ozempic video had me crying. Genuinely genius
I was fat my entire life and never worked out. A year ago I lost my job and I've been unemployed for the past 11 months, but for the first time in my life I have the time and energy to go to the gym. Now I'm 9 months deep and actually kinda buff and thin, and finally in better shape I've ever been in my life. But I am completely broke, depressed, and still unemployed.
So ya know.
Well you can't have it all. You either gotta be wealthy but fat or skinny but poor. ❣️
How did you afford gym membership if you were unemployed ?
I started hiking every day in fall 2020 because I was so bored out of my mind. It feels fucking great being able to run up a bunch of stairs without feeling like dying or barely even feeling your heart rate or blood pressure doing anything. Also still depressed but the part where you just feel pushed down got a lot less. And way less stomach problems now without all the belly fat. It seems unreal how many problems straight up disappear when you lose weight. I stopped biting the inside of my cheeks because now they aren't that fat to get caught up in my chewing teeth all the time!

I’m on Ozempic for my diabetes, and it’s helped tremendously. There are days where I won’t eat anything because the thought of food makes me nauseous or I still feel full from the last meal. I just don’t eat, or I sip on a protein drink in an insulated cup throughout the day if I get a little hungry. The hardest part is the psychological effects of being obese, i.e. wanting to eat food because it’s there in front of me and not because I’m hungry. I’m a glutton for food, and that’s the hardest step to overcome for me. Like the saying goes: My eyes are bigger than my stomach. I’ve went from 385 lbs to about 324 lbs, and I feel a lot better. The one thing I will say is that Ozempic does have a side effect of decreased muscle mass, so if you take Ozempic, please don’t forget to exercise too.
❤️❤️
NGL feeling nauseous to loose weight sounds like absolute hell. Like, that's the biggest side effect of cancer treatments we've been trying to fight for literal decades.
I'm glad you feel better, even if being nauseous sounds rough
My mom has been on it for diabetes as well, but when she is, she doesn’t want to eat cause it makes her feel sick and just wants to lay in bed with ice for belly.
It is still much better to do it naturally, instead of consuming insulin and create sensitivity.
I used to have cycling vomiting syndrome as a kid and it was pretty awful but obviously not anything related to ozempic/weight loss and it went away as I entered my teenage years. my heart goes out to emily and everything she’s going through even to this day

the original statement creator never ate just a slice of cake. probably should have had ozempic as well...
Im a nurse, and one of the the biggest problem with ozempic is that people may lose the weight, but they wont change their relationship with food at all. Once they get off the medication, they will go back to the poor eating habits and inevitably gain back the weight (potentially going back on ozempic). To lose the weight, you must change your relationship and your feelings towards food, change your habits, and exercise within your ability and do what works towards whatever your personal fitness goals are. Just be healthy. Ozempic is not healthy.
Yup a lot of people have binge eating disorder as part of their high weight as a result of trauma but as it does not result in dangerously low weight or crashes due to low electrolytes plus the medical system seeing people who are overweight/obease as lazy it tends to not be treated. Weight loss surgery often requires the paitent to see a psychologist for assessment and treatment of BED as otherwise it is super likely that the paitent will put the weight back on, shift to another eating disorder or to an addiction to deal with the untreated psycholgical issues behind the BED.
That's literally impossible. Ozempic works by suppressing appetite, that's all it does, if you're eating the same as before Izempic you'll stay fat.
Anyway I tried it and it gave me the worst nausea that wouldn't leave.
@@tmsphereso you’ll be on it forever? Aight

Pancreatitis is a whole lot worst than one might think.
I got that a bunch of times when I was a severe alcoholic.
Best I can describe it is that it feels like someone shot you in the chest. The pain lasts 5-7 days per attack and it's just constant horrific pain for the entire time.
You can't sleep, all you can do is roll around on your bed trying to not scream in agony 24/7 until it passes.
Without a doubt the worst pain I've ever experienced in my entire life. It's what I use as a 10 on the pain scale when doctors ask.
I'm like "how bad is this compared to pancreatitis?"
My mom also got it once and told me it was more painful than childbirth.
CHILDBIRTH!
It's actual unending agony for about a week. Wouldn't recommend it.
I'd rather get all my teeth extracted at once without anesthetic than deal with that again, and I'm not even remotely exaggerating.
I was hospitalized with it a few times and yeah, they were giving me stuff like Dilaudid every four hours and even that barely made it bearable.
Wow... Congratulations on recovery..❤❤
Is it worse than cats the movie musical?
Man, and I thought gallbladder attacks were bad....with a gallbladder attack the pain is so bad you can't sleep or even concentrate on a movie, all you can do is writhe around on the floor in agony until it passes...but I've never had one last longer than like 6 or 8 hours.
I've also drank very heavily most of my adult life; I've successfully been dry for about a month and plan on reevaluating things in a year. I never really got hungover but towards the end of last year I'd wake up after heavy drinking spells with this agonizing, hateful feeling, like all my organs were generally inflamed and they were going to collectively murder me if I didn't heed their warnings. I can't describe it, it was just a crystal clear signal from my body that I needed to stop, like _right now,_ or face _dire, irreparable consequences._
My poor dad had pancreatitis after using ozempic. My mom and I have been fine but it's just not for him I guess. It was brutal.
Easily the worst pain I have ever experienced was pancreatitis. My issue was a bad gallbladder riddled with stones. One of the stones got lodged in the bile duct and became inflamed and infected. That infection traveled over to my pancreas and developed into pancreatitis. I was hospitalized for a week, during which I also discovered that morphine has no effect on my body whatsoever. They ended up putting me on triple doses of Dilaudid to deal with the pain. For years afterward I craved that shit for every little pain and headache.
I'm actually on Rybelsus now (the oral route of semaglutide), but I had to wait 10 years after the pancreatitis to make sure that it was just a one-off case. It has been fantastic for my diabetes treatment since though.
When I was fat I got made fun of for looking ugly, lost a lot of weight and got made fun of for looking feminine, gained some more so my face wasn't sunken, and I get made fun of for the gap in my teeth. Moral of the story, improve yourself for you only.

The best advice I've encountered for fitness is to stop worrying about pointless stuff and just start. If you can't do a push up do an incline push-up. If you can't do that, do a wall push-up. Same for a variety of other exercises, there are easy progressions to start with and build a habit with.
If only people would put the fork down and workout a bit instead of taking extremely dangerous medications.. good luck on your fitness journey
I in no way disagree with this, but I also want to point out that in the US, we basically put addictive poison in our processes foods. I think this is something worth addressing as well
Exercise is damn near meaningless for fat people if they don't change the way they eat. Changing the way one eats is the answer. Exercise is just icing.
Yeah stop worrying about not looking good by someone else's standards. If you cannot do a push up, who cares if that seems like a common movement, you're not getting stronger by not building up to it.
@@aaronadamson7463High Fructose Corn Syrup was the worst thing to happen to food since famine.
Small correction: it's a diabetic medication first, and weight loss is a side effect. As someone who's been on it for a few months, I've already lost 40 pounds, but it comes at a cost. It has improved my A1C and my labwork has come back pretty good for the most part. It works very well for diabetics, and my doctor said if I keep going at the rate I am, I might be able to get off all the medications I've been on to manage my type 2 diabetes. It really is a miracle drug and it's helped me walk back my type 2 diagnosis quite a bit.
The downsides: Shitting bricks. The constipation with Ozempic is fucking brutal. I had to change my diet 100% just to get enough fluids and fiber in me to be able to take a shit. It's a terrible feeling having nothing coming out after 3 days. It's awful, because you'll be sitting there trying to pinch a loaf out for almost 45 minutes or longer, your legs fall asleep while you're sitting there and it's just terrible. Like shitting glass.
Other side effects I've noticed are some of the typical ones mentioned: Some stomach pains sometimes but it's very rare. Also my vision is a little blurrier but I'm seeing an eye doctor soon for an updated prescription. I think the most troubling one is that it has affected my depression. I'm already on anti-depressants and I think that helps a bit, but the intrusive thoughts that come with depression have gotten worse. Not sure if thats just my own issue or if it's the Ozempic, but I've heard from other people that it is a problem that doesnt get talked about enough.
Aside from feeling more depressed and not shitting, I've been doing alright on it. It's helped me change my diet too, and I'm eating better and way less processed crap because I feel sick when I eat fast food now. My portions are smaller and thats okay, I'm still getting my proteins and caloric intake daily. Though a lot of the times I have to force myself to eat because i'll forget, and even as a diabetic you still need to eat. Thats the hardest thing.
I wonder if it is reducing the absorbtion of your anti depressants? Malnutrition also causes depression so make sure you are eating enough/getting all your nutrients. Definitely something to talk about with your psychatrist.
@@sephirothjenova1200 the issue I have: do you actually have the discipline and mental fortitude to continue the habits it caused you to form? Or would you just slide back into it after the "miracle drug" is gone?
That's the problem I and a good portion of the medical community have with this drug. It alters your appetite, blood sugar, and absorption in helpful ways, but if it's the drug doing all the heavy lifting you've effectively made 0 progress towards actually fixing the problem long-term.
And if it were a real unfixable chronic condition, they wouldn't "take you off it". Thatd be like me going off my anti-seizure meds just because I havent had one in 6 years. I can't work to make my pineal gland less swollen and cystic, but type 2 diabetics can work to get their blood sugar, weight, and insulin levels back to a functional state so long as no irreparable harm or preexisting conditions are what caused it (aka its lifestyle induced, as is the case the vast majority of the time).
The current view and acclaim ozempic is getting is imo literally everything wrong with pharmaceuticals and American lifestyle.
@@warbossgegguz679I've been on a health recovery since 2021, because I was in a real bad shape that my doctor told me I was very close to damaging my kidneys enough to be put on dialysis. Since then I've made a lot of changes dietary wise, I think I could maintain the lifestyle I've been working on. I did a lot of heavy lifting prior to getting on Ozempic. I've been able to walk back my health to a functional state. Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to do that.
You're not wrong though, a lot of people who go off of it gain all the weight back because they dont stick to their guns and keep to the portion sizes and diet someone had while on ozempic. It is really predatory because I feel like most doctors dont warn their patients before prescribing. I actually had my doctor go over everything and I studied up before getting on it, because I wanted to take it responsibly. Honestly the weight loss is a perk, it's not the reason I'm on it at all. I'm trying to get off the Statins and Metformin they put me on. The goal is to get off everything eventually; Even the Ozempic.
I get it though. I hate current healthcare and pharmaceutical system in this country.

I am so happy and thankful for this video, even more so about you covering Gastroparesis. I have never used Ozempic or anything of the like and I am not diabetic nor obese. I do however have this rare disease. My Gastroparesis is idiopathic. With the rise in popularity more and more people are being diagnosed with it. I am sure not everyone who uses Ozempic are aware of the risks but there are some who do know the risks that feel losing weight is higher priority and willing to accept an incurable disease. There are treatment options but nothing that is guaranteed to work.
Imagine not being able to eat food. And when you do you might be risking throwing it up the next day. I carry barf bags with me (doggy poop bags are so much cheaper then emesis bags) The vomit doesn't discriminate. I will barf in the parking lot of stores, I will barf while shopping at the grocery store. Middle of an aisle at Wal Mart - been there, done that. You can't control it. Many times when I vomit with so much force I urinate myself. Yes, the enamel of your teeth go to hell. I often have to educate a new nurse or ER staff what gastroparesis is. But this is part of my life whether I like it or not.
I love your channel and I very much appreciate you bringing awareness to Gastroparesis and the risks of Ozempic. Anyone considering the drug for off label treatments, please don't. Leave it for the patients who medically need it. Gastroparesis is not worth it. You most likely won't feel "cute" in those new weight loss, bathing suit photos with a feeding tube hanging out of you.
I also idiopathic gastroparesis and the struggle is awful. having to tell doctors i have it without having any other conditions like diabetes mind boggles them. not to mention the social aspects it’s so hard meeting people and trying not to puke and freak them out
I have it too. But mine is not so severe. I'm lucky I can eat a meal without puking.
Or the bloat. I’m incredibly lucky that I only have to eat fast digestion food and be nauseous all of the time
a good diet means adding in healthy foods and cutting back unhealthy foods. A good diet is not just cutting back on all foods and developing a nutrient deficiency.
Meat + Fast
I agree, although I do think some people over-complicate things. If you just want to lose weight and eat like a normal person, the biggest thing you need to do is just count your damn calories. I've known too many obese people that are super picky eaters in an attempt to be healthy, but still stuff their face every meal and have never lost significant weight. Count your freaking calories, it's not that hard.

@@BenJamin-jl1km The issue is a lot of people don't do maintenence when they lose the weight. They lose the weight and stop working out/go back to eating bad. You gotta keep on your diet, add calories back slowly or take them away for a similar time you dieted until your body stops gaining or losing it back. My dad got Gastroparesis from Ozempic. He threw up like it was an Olympic sport. He has a pacemaker in his stomach now because it doesn't work like it's supposed to. Needless to say, this man has a permanent stomachache.
I have gastroparesis too, although I got mine like a decade ago after a bad case of norovirus. Gastroparesis is awful, especially during flareups. Wishing your father well!
Good
I have it, too. Mine is fairly recent with only having it for about a year, and my cause is either idiopatic or from norovirus also. @arctic13767
Think that's what my boss got after using ozempic for weight loss.
Hopefully, he doesn't end up losing muscle or dealing with osteoporosis. It feels like you're playing Russian roulette with your health when you take this stuff if you’re not really diabetic, instead of just putting in the effort to stay healthy. Plus, anyone who can afford this medication probably has enough money to eat well, hit the gym, or buy their own workout equipment.
I've had an addiction to eating out for a few years. One day I started meal prepping lean ground beef burritos with recipes on youtube that are 500 calories. I would eat 3 a day and 1 protein shake. I have done this for a month and a half and i'm down 23 pounds. I eat for 2.50 a meal on average, broke my junkfood addiction, and I feel great knowing I didn't take poison to do it. 20 more pounds to go.
That’s amazing, congratulations! 🎉

The thing I learned firsthand after being mistakenly prescribed ozempic is that with these types of medications, you can’t just eat whatever you want and expect it to work. My diet was awful for 2 months, and I either maintained or even gained a little more weight. So you still have to balance your diet and should workout. That being said, after the doctor gave me the correct GLP medication and I changed my eating habits, it’s helped me tremendously and saved me from diabetes. I have PCOS and hashimoto’s disease plus insulin resistant and prediabetic so my doctor told me without wegovy, losing weight for me is an extremely uphill battle and would take me much longer than a person with no disorders but the same weight and workout/eating regiment.
My fiance has gone through a similar experience(PCOS). No matter how much she worked out and ate well she couldn't lose it. GLP has really made her happy and she actually ENJOYS working out now. Plus she is no longer pre diabetic which is awesome.
Oh who cares

So a lot of these side effects like the sunken eyes, getting sick, nightmares, not sleeping and especially the girl saying that she literally could not eat anything and had to force yourself to even take one bite of food it reminds me of whenever I was on meth tbh. Been clean for 7 years now, and I did it for the same reason that those women did they were tired of being the size that they were. Easy out. I just find it interesting how a medical prescription is so similar to a street drug.
And your method you had the added benefit of having your yard vacuumed.
Its definitely not an easy out. You have to change your whole diet and relationship with food.
For real a lot of those drugs make you not wanna eat anything at all.
Except Ozempic doesn't even get you blitzed.
Yeah this kinda reminded me of people i knew that did coke
I did not have weight issues or medicine but I threw up for 10 years like several times a day two days a week on average to the point the last few heaves are mouth fulls of blood. And my enamel is fine. My voice is changed. It’s either auto immune or cancer. I finally found a doctor last June :) got insurance finally this February coming up. We think it might be auto immune because I have several disk in my back that are suddenly running like eggs in slow motion. Spiders running out of my shoulder blades and down my back. Random headaches that are pretty close to making me say things that will get me under observation. I want to crack it open to relieve the pressure
The reason it took so long is because I was a young autistic father.. and I love my son and his mom. She never raised any flags and said it was my nerves making me sick and started harshly blaming me over the years for it. I can only work certain jobs over it so I never wanted to spend a dime on my self either.. especially if it turned out to just be nerves.

My obgyn suggested ozempic because i have stage 4 endometriosis and PCOS. He said something about insulin resistance. No matter how hard i tried i couldnt lose more than 20 pounds. Over the past 16 months im almost 80 pounds down.
Went from borderlines diabetic to normal a1c and feeling better than i have in years. I am thankful for the opportunity to have the boost of help and even my endometriosis pain has reduced dramatically.
what the damn medicine should be for not these rich A-holes that wanna lose weight quick
I'm curious, will your body eventually "learn" to stay at that weight as you slowly come off the drug, or are you stuck taking it for life?
@Daniel_WR_Hart according to the Dr the stomach shrinkage will stay unless I stretch it back out like around the holidays when you don't really watch how much you eat (turkey coma)
But I gave myself a month of off it to see how well I did and my weight stayed the same so I'm not 100 percent on long term at least because of the PCOS and endometriosis may start acting back up
im in the same boat. people dont understand how incredible these drugs are until they need them.

As a fellow large person pushing up the X size scale, I loved this episode. Both of my parents take a different form of that same medication. My dad actually just had to have a procedure today where he had a shot in his eye. I’m squeamish so I didn’t get details, but yeah, it’s terrifying.
Can you do an episode on gastric bypass and gastric sleeve surgeries?
I am so freaking glad my doctor said she didn’t want me to take it. I’m a T1 diabetic (the autoimmune kind) and I also have hypothyroidism. I gained about 40lbs after a med change which negatively impacts my insulin absorption. my doctor told me she absolutely did not want me to take it because “we don’t really know the long term side effects, and I won’t risk that for you. There haven’t been any studies and it just came on the market less than a decade ago”
I love my doctor so much. She actually cares. Some of these side effects that are coming out are REALLY bad for T1 diabetics, let alone regular people. I’ve already had an ocular stroke, chronic tendinitis, and have had DKA a few times. These are all just things that come with T1…so I can’t even imagine what ozempic might do. I’ve lost about 15lbs so far on my own since then!
I’m so sorry about your dad. I hope that your folks will be ok! Please take care of yourself, too!

Throwing up that much can give you a hiatal hernia. Which is when part of your stomach pushes past your diaphragm (the thing that makes you breathe) and enters the chest cavity... Fun times.
I got one. It's fun fun fun!
I've had one of these; Arguably some of the worst pain I was ever in, especially cuz I was in like middle/early highschool
I have a hiatal hernia. I have been vomiting for five years now, several times a week. I take several pills for my stomach and none really work. I have had several teeth removed because of my vomiting. I have lost some hair because of this too. I don't know why this is happening because I don't do anything to bring it on (fingers down the throat) . I can take two bites and everything comes back up. I hate it but no doctor wants to help me they just throw pills at me and that is it. Yes I have bleeding in my throat too. I have lost weight. I have even thrown up while sleeping and choked on it. I don't eat out, I don't eat bread or grains,, I don't eat anything greasy, or anything that I hate to throw up. I skip a lot of meals because I don't want to throw up. I hate living like this but I have no choice. It is a nightmare.
@sakarikokotala9160 I'm so sorry. Unfortunately I can sympathize. It took them four and a half years for them to diagnose me with Crohn's and in the meantime I had two exploratory surgeries, a hiatal hernia, and I lost most of my teeth. omg i never would have thought you'd talk about CVS (cyclical vomiting syndrome) I have it and it is super rare however its unknown as to why i developed it, its extremely rough and ive been hospitalized countless times because of it.. I'm glad that there's a bit more awareness surrounding it so thank you for talking about it!
*edit for anyone wondering* I get sick about every other week or so and it lasts about 3 days or so at a time. Ive been sick with it for 8 (almost 9) years now and ive even gotten subcutaneous emphysema from how vigorously i puke and i normally start puking blood within a day. I cant talk, eat, or barely even move until the episode stops.. anyways, yeah! thats my life lol
I'll post the same thing I posted to someone else here, just in case it helps you:
One question, do you smoke weed or hash? I only ask because my girlfriend was having horrible attacks of cyclic vomiting, we could never figure out what the cause was, and like you said the hospital basically wouldn't do jack shit to help. Until one day a RECEPTIONIST (not a nurse or doctor lol) at the hospital happened to ask if she used cannabis in any way. Yeah, we both smoked hash. Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome (which basically means syndrome where cannabis makes you vomit like crazy) or CHS is thought to occur when something in your stomach or stomach lining reacts poorly to cannabinoids. She had to stop smoking weed, which was tough for her, but since then she has not had a single incident. Just wanted to mention that in case it could help you, because it was something we had never heard of before and I wish we'd known about it sooner.
@ i appreciate you sharing that and yes i’ve heard of CHS and i quit smoking for 4 months straight and weirdly enough i got sick even more, but im glad to hear that she’s doing better that’s amazing!

18:11 bro, I dealt with cyclic vomiting syndrome for about 8 years and it’s miserable 😭 - ever since I was little, I have been medically diagnosed and re-diagnosed with generalized and social anxiety disorder, which was caused my body to naturally over-stress and trigger cyclic vomiting. No medicine helped, nor did therapy. I unfortunately had to just play it day by day, trying to find a way around it until I became more aware and managed my stress. It still comes back once in while, but thankfully not like before (I use to vomit 4 to 6 times a day because of this). To anyone else who suffers from this, please stay strong, I know it is taxing but you can overcome it 😊
If you by chance smoke weed look up CHS. My vomiting stopped once I stopped smoking
I struggled with anxiety for a long time, and it wasn't until I understood where it came from that I started to heal. I now understand that I have complex PTSD from growing up around toxic people, and things got noticeably better when I moved away from them. I threw up every other when I was younger. We went to see doctors and specialists, none of them saw anything wrong in my body that could cause it. It only stopped when my dad got a job that kept him out of town for 2 weeks a month, but I still had stomach issues. There are certain foods that I just can't digest, and I wonder how much of it is caused by stress and how much of it is the amount of pesticides on our food.
I vomit less than once a year now.

Some people get severe side effects and even worsening of symptoms from medications that work 99% of the time. It's just not worth risking your life over 30 pounds.
This is just personal advice, I maxed out at 276lbs and have lost most of it and been maintaining a 150s to 160s weight for the last 10+ years. Try to surround yourself with more active people. By far the best advice for weight loss is home-cooked meals, eating the right amount of carbs, and cutting back on sugar as well as sugar alternatives. That's it.
The biggest issue is gut health because it reduces the effectiveness of not only everything you eat but also exercises. If it's too tiresome to exercise, just do some easy stretches and if you're consistent enough it makes exercising so much easier. Sugar alternatives are known for making it more difficult to lose weight, causing your body to hold onto the fat.

Rabies can cause a type of hydrophobia but the disease where you can't swallow is Lou Gehrig's disease. People with ALS lose the ability to control the muscles that allow you to swallow which are also the ones you need to keep stuff from going down the wrong way.

The day after my first shot was the worst, though. I felt like I ate bag of concrete and the only food I had for the day was three chicken wings. Things got better over time and my side effects became tolerable. I'm able to eat enough to get me through the day but I really don't want any more food than that. My weight loss has been reasonable, usually one to three pounds a week. I've gone from 330lbs to 285lbs. I don't intend on taking it forever, it's a nice tool to dig yourself out of the hole. My doctor is confident my type 2 diabetes is reversable with weight loss, proper diet and exercise.

Turns out, the hospital called the wrong family, and pulled life support for an unrelated guy

I was able to drop over 100lbs in 6 months on it. now i was pretty large and i'm still well over what is considered overweight, but it has really helped me get out of such a bad eating habit.
Thank god, that’s honestly all I want. Therapy hasn’t helped, dieting hasn’t helped, even just avoiding the purchasing of food wouldn’t stop it. I’m glad you’re doing better❤
@@sydneyslaughter7163 Thanks. Yeah I just spoke with my dr today and we're aiming for another 6 months on it, targeting another 80 lbs down to get to what most would consider a healthy weight for my height. as a man it is easier to drop the weight, i hear. but yes the trajectory i was on was not a good one and i do fear that if i go off the drug i'll rebound.
@@sydneyslaughter7163lmao yeah dieting doesn’t help but taking a pill that FORCES you to diet works??
You know how many people lie? How many people tell their partners they’re on “diets” but then stuff their face with McDonald’s cheeseburgers on the way to and from work before eating that salad their wife made them?
The thing about ozempic I love is when people suddenly look like a scarecrow bobble head within like 6 weeks and they're all "oh I decided to go keto" -says Becky who's now 110 and was 270 last week.
It just suppresses your appetite, it's not magic. I lost about 30 lbs naturally and people are asking me if I used ozempic. Just like anyone with some muscle is juiced, anyone who lost weight is on ozempic.
It’s that or “I’m on the carnivore diet I heard Joe Rogan talk about it”
Can you translate that into english
And keto is short for ketones. Ya know, the things that cause ketoacidosis, the illness the first lady went thru
As in the first woman they spoke about, not Melania trump
It's not magic, it just reduces appetite. I lost about 30 lbs naturally(on keto, actually) and people have asked me if it's ozempic. Not everyone who loses weight is on it just like not everyone with any kind of muscle mass is on tren.
0:45 I know that guy! That's Thor Hughes, I used to be in the same social circle as him lol. Great dude tbh.
And he's the famous one, look where life led y'all.
Wow, I’m so grateful I stumbled across your video. I’ve been having some really bad issues recently with nausea and vomiting. Some days I wake up and I just vomit nonstop for like three hours. Uncontrollable it’s very painful and scary for my partner. I’ve never heard of sick vomiting syndrome. That’s definitely something I’m going to be bringing up to my doctor.
I’m not fat I’m festively plump - papa meat
Nice
I swear, that is a thing because if it's cold out, I expect my cat to be fatter than usual to survive the cold
7:17 Its like diarrhea x10, It has to be the worst pain I've ever experienced.
💩💩
My mom had the exact opposite reaction and was constipated for days😭
@@prodbytarantino Oh I have that too, it switches weekly.
I don’t think I even eat enough to have that lol. I almost puked one meal after a 400 calorie salad.
Nurse here! I’m a firm believer in Ozempic for diabetes control, I’ve seen it work wonders for diabetic patients, but I do think it’s over-prescribed for weight loss, especially for people who aren’t really even that big (like 170-190 lbs) without accurate education on what it can do to your digestive system. Ive seen patients have to get a PEG tube (feeding tube that goes directly into the stomach) because they can’t swallow anything by mouth ever again, they just vomit it right back up. There is no such thing as a miracle drug!!
I've read your comment better, and I agree. I don't think it should be used as a weight loss medicine unless it's the last resort. People want to take shortcuts, and it will only hurt them
Definitely only as a last resort. My step-father was able to go off of insulin permanently by going keto and eating one meal a day. Most people don't seem to have that kind of willpower or support systems though.
for sure - the reason it's good for people with morbid obesity is we often already have medical issues, so the risk/benefit thing is worth it. It's not for losing 20 lbs and you have to be monitored.
I don't think people even realise how it works. It just makes your gut move slower and makes you feel fuller subjectively. It does nothing to prevent you from continuing bad habits, and the longer you use it, the less your body will be able to maintain a healthy ghrelin to leptin ratio when you eventually quit. Prepare to be hungry forever if you happen to stay on it too long...
This is my first time on this channel and the whole time I’m like “ he sound like the meat canyon guy almost exactly” and I remember seeing you on the pod but for some reason I couldn’t figure it out until 20 minutes into the video but I subscribed 5 minutes in just cause you’re hilarious
