My high school chamber choir is singing this piece for our spring concert. It's one of the most challenging scores I think any of us has ever seen yet but it's absolutely breathtaking when we do get it just right. I'm excited to perform it in a week or so.
One of the most challenging, huh? Take a look at Part 4A of Lullaby by Keith Hamel, Lauda Sion by Gyorgy Orban, or Magnus Maior Maximus by Toth Peter. Now, *that* is one of the most challenging (for amateurs, at least).
Lyrics Sweet as the sound of my newformed wings I stretch them open, I let them dry I haven't seen this world before But I'm excused, I'm a butterfly Sweet as the touch of your newborn wings We fly in circles, we play with the sun We haven't seen this world before So fair, so bright, so blue the sky Love me, love me on the leaves Before we say goodbye Love me, kiss me with the breeze You will be my lullaby Tomorrow I'll die Tomorrow I'll die Tomorrow I'll die Tomorrow I'll die Be my lullaby Love me, kiss me with your breeze Love me, love me on the leaves Love me, love me on the leaves Before we say goodbye Sweet as the wind as it gently blows The day away. And the night time comes Great are the wonders that silence shows I fall asleep and I dream of the sun And my butterfly
I found myself singing "Poison Tree" on my way home today, and went to put on the full album only to find that at some point in the past 10 years I decided I hadn't listened to Rajaton in so long that I deleted it. Shame on me.

Lyrics
Sweet as the sound of my newformed wings
I stretch them open, I let them dry
I haven't seen this world before
But I'm excused, I'm a butterfly
Sweet as the touch of your newborn wings
We fly in circles, we play with the sun
We haven't seen this world before
So fair, so bright, so blue the sky
Love me, love me on the leaves
Before we say goodbye
Love me, kiss me with the breeze
You will be my lullaby
Tomorrow I'll die
Tomorrow I'll die
Tomorrow I'll die
Tomorrow I'll die
Be my lullaby
Love me, kiss me with your breeze
Love me, love me on the leaves
Love me, love me on the leaves
Before we say goodbye
Sweet as the wind as it gently blows
The day away. And the night time comes
Great are the wonders that silence shows
I fall asleep and I dream of the sun
And my butterfly
Thanks

Beautiful! We're going to hear Rajaton at the Brandon Jazz Festival this weekend! So looking forward to it!
I think this is the best song I've ever heard.
Saw this group in Dallas at ACDA convention this past week. Wonderful!

What a beautiful song! I'm really glad to be able to learn this song :)
Just about as perfect a song as there ever was.
I’m addicted to this. :P
My Vocal teacher is giving us a project; Project Butterfly. :) This song is one of the most complicated we've done, so I hope we can pull this off!
