There's a bit of context in the description but basically there was an audio cord that wasn't plugged in so only the people in the front could actually hear the start of the show (when to start counting) but not the people in the back. Which lead the drumline in the front to start the show before the people in the back. Which in turn lead the whole thing to fall apart while everyone scattered trying to figure out what part of the show we were in. Because there was time left in the performance over all, our band director (running down the bleachers) stopped the run and we restarted. Thankfully the run wasn't counted against us, and the one that followed quickly after put us in finals. As for everyone slipping on the stage, it was raining bad an hour before the performance which made the material on the stages very slippery. And as for the guy at the end that almost ran into someone and was 2 steps off his dot. That's me.
Since NO ONE posted it, heres the recipe Heat oven to 425°F. Place 1 pie crust in ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate. Press firmly against side and bottom. Add your pie filling into the crust Firmly add the top layer of the crust on top of the filling Poke a few holes on top of the crust and bake for 15-20 minutes Take out pie and let sit for 5-10 minutes Slice and enjoy!
This apple pie recipe seemed promising, as my family loves apple pie, but after reading it had apples, which my family is deadly allergic to, I knew this wouldn’t work out.

My marching band unfortunately didn't get to championships (and it's sad too cause it's my senior and such but hey, you win some you lose some) and we had SO many audio issues that we were surprised if when we would place 1st for a 1A band, but watching this and laughing(I'm sorry)at everyone falling and tumbling it reminds me of my band and how we also had our own fuck ups, especially in my place being in color guard and having this season be the most windy gives me a sense of comfort that this kinda stuff happens to all bands, yes we feel terrible afterwards but when it's over we laugh about it and it turns into a great memory, man, I'm gonna miss all the other kiddos, but i cant wait to see what they have in store for their next season! At least this time i can watch haha 😆
It's strange for me seeing how this went south. I marched in HS, college, and drum corps in the 80's and 90's. In those days you couldn't use electronic instruments in competitions. I don't know if having those electronics is better or not. However, I don't even recall a marching show from anyone falling apart like this back then.
Hey Kevin. I too marched in the 80s. The whole marching band thing is foreign to me now. We used to play songs that people were familiar with. Now it seems like marching bands only do ambient Cirque du Soliel types of songs. And yeah, of all the competitions I was in and watching the other bands, I never saw anybody fall down.
Was kind of thinking the same thing though I spent half of my time in show style bands. It doesn't feel like bands are bands anymore. If one queue is off or that damn metronome fails nobody knows what to do or how to recover in these Broadway productions. I don't knock it and mostly enjoy watchin still but I really don't consider it "marching band" any more.
a combo of rain and overreliance on preshow in order to know when to start(90% of the bands choreography while starting is looking into the floor and waiting for a sound cue to start counting) led to this haha
So now a days hs, college, and drum corps uses electronic pre shows also the sound cart wasn’t plugged in correctly so the ppl on feild could only hear a delayed start which is why it fell apart but we got a re run which is why we made finals
We were at a competition, this was one of those practice competitions that didn't matter as much, and our generator didn't work right as we were about to perform. At UIL, somebody else's prop blew on during our performance.
I remember during one of our band’s performances, one of the field judges ended up stepping on one of the cords causing it to unplug. Then, once the opener ended, the pit member that was in charge of starting the ballad went to go play the note, but it wouldn’t play. So the whole band just remained in position, just waiting for the ballad to start while this poor pit member is trying to cue the ballad and failing. Eventually my band director found the cord and plugged it back in and we continued the show, but it was a very long pause in between the opener and the ballad. Luckily, the band director told us that we handled the situation like professionals would... We ended up not making finals……and it was our boa competition
We ran shows in the 70s with no audio. We had drum majors that counted the show off. Once the drum line took over, we could run without the drum majors if we had to and did many times during practice.
I was worried for a minute. With the massive video compression (potato) and subsequent blurry closeups, combined with the shape and color of the headgear and sleeves it looked very, let's say...er...clannish... Glad it was just a strange recipe for apple pie.
Does an original video of this performance exist? I want to see how this went down and how it resolved in the end. Trust me, I know the pain of technical issues lol.
Dci videos have been taken down since they’re not supposed to be posted by non official accounts, so people comment about bakery shit to break the algorithm. The thing just kinda spread to all marching band videos in general now
@@generouszero2279 I knew I knew that field lol. That field echos like a bitch. Had more than one marching band performance on it that tore horribly, one side of the field like 3 counts ahead of the other 💀

I will say that my band was the one who got rained on right before we performed (Forney person), and we didn’t perform until an hour later or sum)
bro the 2 steps off is crazy 😭. im glad it wasn’t counted against you though 😭
That's why you should always start with drum majors conducting
Bro look at your drum major nvm thank you mob...listen to pit dang it
Also them: makes it to finals
Priveledge of them having a big band
I’m going to Indy tomorrow wish me luck
It didnt get counted against them
I got to meet several members of their band in San Antonio, definitely didn’t show my friends this video after we met them 😉

i love the choreo where the bass drum falls down… very unique. I need to get in touch with your choreographer!
LMAO fucken imagine the halt and just being there in the middle while everyone else is filed down, I’d just shake my head at myself while playing😭
I give this run an 97.635. The creativity in the drill writing with everybody doing different things at once is just inexplicably amazing.
The show was complete garbage I marched the show

Although apple pie is good, pumpkin pie has to be better. Apple pie has little crunchy while pumpkin is doesn't.
