This was just absolutely beautiful. Easily better than most renditions by stalwarts from any time any geography. Just completely moving. The command over the laya, the sruthi, the fidelity of the diction, the grasp of the deep meaning of the song, the willingness to communicate that with the audience, combined with an majestic voice...wow...what a combination! I hope to hear more from this artiste, Sri Harirag Nandan. The accompanists were exemplary as well; the sowkhyam of the mridangam was something to behold. So was the shadow-like accompaniment on the violin and the support of the ghatam. They were like friends traveling on a beautiful journey showing us some incredible sights of the majestic jewel of Sri Tyagaraja's composition! The crowning moment for me comes when the artiste does a small namaskaram to Tyagaraja swamy when the ankitha shows up in the composition @12:54. That kind of respect of the composer is rare, and I am so humbled by this gesture. I am totally bowled over.

I am.able to catch up with the sahithyam ever since I gained depth in telugu and kannada. Appreciate this gesture of running through sahityam I Of this krithi which is alien to budding musicians too.
