Okay but this says a consignment shop... IDK about where y'all are from but in Texas where I live, how a consignment shop works is, they display your items in their store until it sells and then you get the money for it and they get a cut of it. Is it different in other places?? 🤔🤔 I feel like what she was trying to portray is like how a "Plato's Closet" type place works, which is they will just buy your items from you but they have to be in excellent condition and they don't give you very much but if you go back in a week or so you will see your clothes on their racks for 3-5 times more than what they paid you for it! lol 😂 🤣🤣
This is 100000% accurate! 😂😂 Plato’s stupid ass closet!! 😂 I tried to sell there a few times and every time I was still shocked at how bad they rip me off. But to be fair some are better/worse than others.
Literally though 😭 I had a lot of clothes I needed to get rid of mixed in with my mom’s donation clothes so decided to try selling at uptown cheapskate and they offered $4.00 for my mom’s levi’s jeans 🤦♂️ barely worn too
@ladylionXOX I have bought a couple women some very expensive clothes and the first red sign is you are not going to a actual store to be fitted. DONT BUY ONLINE!
That LV bag is not a flex if you can’t afford it, then it’s just debt and you look stupid for owning it knowing you have no business paying that much on a bag and then having to sell all your other stuff just so you can get food money or rent! people are so weird
Maybe it was a gift? Or inherited? Or thrifted? When I became debt free I bought myself a Gucci handbag- but gently used of course, not paying full price! Bought it for a fraction of its original retail price.
@@Chloe_Kolohe808 yeah I guess I didn’t think of it that way, I still think people need to live within their budget though occasionally getting a treat is ok too but definitely don’t get in debt for “nice things”
@@Chloe_Kolohe808 thank you... So much this... People complain about " poor" people having luxury things ... But ... No one knows... There's what you already pointed out.... Gift, bought with gift card, inheritance etc... Also could be from before something unexpected happened...when they could afford it My fam is poor and at times my Mom sends $ with a note to specifically use it for something fun Do I often use it for groceries or something needed anyway Yup But maybe I'll get that $8+ drink at the coffee shop after doing so 😅
Anyone else hear 👂 her jaw hit the floor, when the clerk offer her $20 for her LV bag 👜. lol 😂😂😂
Thrift stores when things don't sell or don't have room they actually toss it in the dumpster..
Yep worked for one and that's very true
lol wow, but they’re like we only paid $1 for it so oh well!
This is why I just sell my stuff on Poshmark. Takes like 5 seconds. Get some money to spend on new to me stuff on there lol

$4??!!! FOR LEVI JEANS?!!!! THEY ARE SO DAMN EXPENSIVE!!!
When are you making your strict mom series TH-cam shorts?❤❤❤❤
Sounds like GameStop 😂😂
U pay $2000 for the label
Not the material 😭
When you realize you bought a "brand name" and the little tag for $2000, but the material and quality is about the same as an amazon knock-off.
That's exactly what I was thinking. It explains why she really needs the money.
