@@djtenders9022 I mean technically right, every person is selfish because the selfless died out in natural selection. 0:45 Wait.. do they make less than $25 an hour? I had no idea. That's horrible pay, especially since where I live the minimum wage for fast food workers is becoming $20 come April.
❤ go y'all RN 4 39yrs. I am totally behind you. All should strike across the Nation . Would be one of largest organized strikes!!! I got out with the Covid. We were told there woukd be a frontline financial bonus. I don't recall getting mine. Also, your care as a patient is highly needing improvement.
Seriously.... It's difficult to get a specialty care appointment, I have been trying to get an appointment with sleep medicine since June, today is October 4th.
I do CNA work in Assisted Living facilities, & am seeing the same low pay and understaffing - it's incredibly frustrating because we can't properly care for vulnerable people with Alzhiemers and physical disabilities. They charge over 7k a month for Memory Care services but pay the people providing those services well under $20/hour, & are understaffing the unit so that proper care is impossible. It's not safe or humane for the people in our care. Something has to change.
The grandson of one of my cousins is just starting his nursing education. I'm proud of him, but worried for him as well. We have a lot of nurses in the family, including that cousin, and I know something of what they are up against.
When she says the minimum, 21to 23 bucks an hr, she means CNA's, housekeeping & maintenance. I know. Was a CNA for 20 yrs. Retired back in 2018 from the business. I made 14.85 ph. They are right. These guys need to pay far more. There are CNA's at my Alma Mater making 21 bucks an hr, in a Nursing home. On the Oregon coast. Our state mw is 14.25 ph. Believe me yall, Kaiser CAN afford it, if they wanted too & still make bigly profits! 😂
The minimum wage is misleading. That’s the minimum wage for hospital support staff. Kaiser nurses in California gets paid $79 per hour. Kaiser nurses historically had the best wages due to their strong union. They can always quit. There’s plenty of other lower paid nurses from other smaller hospitals that’s willing to take their spot.
@@ericeandco nurses and support staff at other hospitals are also under staffed. The difference is they don’t have a union to keep fighting for a raise every other year. But the public doesn’t know that.
We need rapid development and deployment of AI automation to replace pharmacists and technicians. A lot of the roles on strike can be better handled by automation and they are safer and more efficient. Why do we need to pay humans to count pills?! It makes zero sense. Save the money for doctors and nurses and replace most others with computer systems. It will go a long way to reduce medical care cost in this country.
@@ericeandco I work on AI technologies as well, and while I would not let AI be the sole pilot of a jetliner yet, AI is more than enough to handle things like pull pill bottle, count pills, print instruction label, generate patient printout. @@djtenders9022 Let senior leadership see the patients then
Wrong. Back breaking work. CEO Pay. Then $ last for actual workers.@@djtenders9022

It’s not just the money. Working conditions are scary in most hospitals.
Increase the pay and guess what the cost will passed on to patients..

Hell yeah.. everyone needs to get the money. Then we have to vote down taxes

Everything is going up but the pay and they

Writing on the wall leave Kaiser now go somewhere else. The company will not change . Worst hospital care ever !

I really wonder who is getting less than $25 from Kaiser. Kaiser pays employees above other healthcare providers.
GO UNION!! Kaiser better pay healthcare workers what they deserve. FREE Universal Healthcare is NEXT!!! #PublicOptionNow
That’s just stupid. There’s nothing in life that’s free. Someone is paying for it.
"I did that!" Joe Biden
Anyone in these presidential runs NOT HERE.. You are NOT in the runnings. Just saying.
Healthcare is pretty bad already. It won’t help in the short term. Hopefully it makes a positive difference in the long term.

Profit over patients
