As a young He-Man collector, (15 years old), I was able to get Faker a few days ago when my family went grocery shopping and I zipped straight to the toys, and there was an absolute GREAT WALL OF CHINA full of figures from this wave! It looked like the entire store's stock was out! I snagged Faker and dumped him into my mom's shopping cart...
The black belt and purple briefs might be useful for those who want to make their own custom early version of Skeletor, using the top half of the standard Skeletor together with Faker's bottom half and Lords of Power Skeletor's feet.
I just picked up Ninjor and Castle Greyskull and Panthor here in the UK. Was lucky to get a undamaged Castle box as only 1 toy store here in the UK had it and each store only had 1 of it and after 3 failed attempts finding one in the different stores across London. I found the one store the box was undamaged. Worth the hunt.
@@MudSluggerBP I still can't believe the only two Scare Glows I could find in London was in a small toy store when I was randomly locked out of my house and had to wait for my housemates to come home from work and went for a walk looking for model cars and found them last year. Its cool to hunt for them. Looking forward to finding Faker as well.

But when I wanted to complete the main heroes and villains with Teela, Man at Arms and Beast Man I saw they were hard to find and too expensive and I wasted so much time looking for them, I could not find any of the others either, so I gave up before I really started. Shame that. I really liked that line.

I had no idea what trouble I was getting myself into when i bought He-Man and Skeletor less than two months ago! They already caused me to crash my old laptop and forced me to upgrade all the way up to a gaming quality desktop! I'm like a kid who can't have the toy I want and I'm acting like a fool about it! 😂
The company has SERIOUSLY dropped the ball on this line. You could fill an Olympic pool with the amount of wave 1 still hanging on hooks. It is virtually impossible to find any other waves. They need to stop with the store exclusives.
That's not Mattels fault, it's on the retailers not ordering enough. Mattel can't make them buy their stuff beyond whatever the minimum order is set up for.

Wal-Mart will not buy more figures because wave 1 has not sold well. The same goes for the Real Ghostbuster retro line. Target is the only physical retailer I have been able to find something beyond wave 1. Companies like Mattel would be better off selling the different waves
I'm so glad Mattel are listening to feedback and fixing issues with this line as they go. The orange sword fits in Faker's hands nicely. I hope they re-release the pink one for Price Adam too because it would be nice if that sword would fit in his hands. Great also to see the vintage heads returning to He-man and Skeletor!
When BBTS announced Faker up for pre-order, I pre-ordered it when they first put it up without a photo and it still saying that it doesn't come out until September release. They knew that you were Pixel Dan and that's why you received it before anyone else.
I remember you said your Keldor sword didnt' stay in his hand, and the prince Adam sword was too thick for his hand, I just wanted to note that I purchased a second prince Adam for the sky sled, and his sword fit perfect (my first set had the too-thick handle), so they listened and fixed the sword, AND my rise of evil two pack, Keldor's sword fits perfect as well, can't wait to get Faker and the others I'm excited for :)
Great Figure! Faker, Scareglow, Moss Man Mosquitor, Leech, Ram Man and King Randor were my favorite motu toys as a kid. I had more, but these characters were in almost every adventure.
That would be awesome if they did a deluxe Faker, being Battle Armor Faker, coming with that head and the Origins He-Man Faker head as well.....or the vintage head again.

I'm not collecting this line, so I don't have a dog in this fight, but I thought the new Origins head was a nice improvement over the old sculpt. But hey, people can still use that head to have a Prince Adam who looks more distinct from He-man, so that's cool.
I'm pretty sure the new standard He-Man will include a full power sword (not only the vintage head). Faker is probably a hint of what we can expect with the new He-Man 2.0.
We"ll likely swe the Full Power Sword in a potential Weapons Pack. So don't give up hope,Dan. Mattel did a few for Classics and they'll very likely make some for Origins.
I way prefer the Alcala head over the vintage. In fact I haven‘t liked the vintage since back in the 80ies, because it does neither hold up to the minicomics, nor the Filmation Cartoon.
How come all your MOTU Origins figures joints are so easy to move? A lot of mine are really stiff, so much so they feel like they will break if you bend them... one of mine actiually snapped on first use so I took it back which was really disapointing. Is this normal?

I prefer the old head over the new Origins approach. If you’re doing a retro figure it should be the design you fell in love with. But they made their bed and now we have to sleep in it. They should include both heads for all figures from this point on.
Hey Dan! Dude, PLEASE hear me out! Potential epiphany moment! *What if*, in early MOTU development, King Randor smacked Adam around for literally being a “Red-Headed Stepchild”? Then the King threw him out in severely critical condition, and Adam died (explaining his blue skin). Then Man-At-Arms took pity on him and gave him robotic implants to bring him back to life! The Skeletor armor was part of this new Adam’s teenage rebellion against his stepdad, “The KING”, to mock Randor for failing to defeat Skeletor! It hits all the main bases: orange hair, why he’s blue, his robotics and the Skeletor armor! I did it, Dan! I’ve unraveled the original (ultimately discarded) history of the Mighty Faker! (If this were a Marvel Comics letters page I’d have earned 4 ”No-Prizes!” Lol! Thoughts? God Bless!

To be honest, I would be one of the guys who would've preferred the original Origins He-Man head on Faker - it's a great advancement of the boring old Prince Valiant head. Sadly Mattel listened to the complainers. A deluxe release with the two heads and magenta armor and accessories like the vintage cross sell illustration would have been perfect.

Preorders go unfilled? Are you ordering from Wal-Mart? Because I've gotten pretty much everything that isn't an exclusive online with no issues. Wal Mart did cancel my Scareglow and that was when I cancelled everything on preorder there and went to Big Bad Toy Store. I'm still waiting on some of it, but nothing has ever gotten cancelled.
Such a nice figure. But I don’t like it that they don’t use the updated head anymore. The old sculp is awesome and always brings good memories. But I got my vintage toys for that. So I’m not going to buy this figure (sad).

He's not blue in the cartoon. Its kind of accepted that he turned blue from malfunctioning after his fight with He-MAN, or skeletor turned him blue to match his skin.

There's so many wave 1 He-Man figs on the pegs that you can easily repaint a head for Faker.

the classics version should have had the chest mechanism as an actual built-in section and not just a sticker.

Mattel is actually re-releasing He-Man and Skeletor this fall, with the vintage heads and the full power swords for both.
No wonder Faker is in high demand at bachelorette parties - he can show off a great physique and has a DJ controller embedded in his chest

I usually soak mine in warm water in the sink once I open them. This loosens up the joints and can pose them easily. Hair dryer works as well

@@melkor2301 - I will admit the magenta armor needs to be an accessory somewhere down the line. But man, the OG He-man head is my all time favorite. The MOTUC "Oo-lar" head completes my collection.
Never seen anything past wave 1 around here, and preorders online go unfilled. At least they produced some to send to reviewers, I guess.
Preorders go unfilled? Are you ordering from Wal-Mart? Because I've gotten pretty much everything that isn't an exclusive online with no issues. Wal Mart did cancel my Scareglow and that was when I cancelled everything on preorder there and went to Big Bad Toy Store. I'm still waiting on some of it, but nothing has ever gotten cancelled.

Such a nice figure. But I don’t like it that they don’t use the updated head anymore. The old sculp is awesome and always brings good memories. But I got my vintage toys
for that. So I’m not going to buy this figure (sad).

He's not blue in the cartoon. Its kind of accepted that he turned blue from malfunctioning after his fight with He-MAN, or skeletor turned him blue to match his skin.
I love this head, yet I have a feeling we'll see him use the original Origins head in a future release, as well.
Change the Ronald Macdonald hair and we will be set.....
