Technology has changed everybody’s lives over the years. Computers, cell phones and hearing aids have evolved into devices that have changed people’s lives. The hearing aids i currently use are light years from the devices used when deaf students were mainstreamed into my classes. When i was a teacher’s assistant ten years later, hearing aids technology had improved to a degree unimaginable. Previously, all hearing aids did was make sound louder, not better. Now, there ways to manipulate sound quality and innovations as simple as miniaturization. Technology seems to improve every two years instead of every decade. I look forward for technology such as Orsana and improved performance.

    Around 46:00
When Rachel is talking about how much harder it is today to deal with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and the tech now, compared to only having the ability to adjust a hearing aid with a screwdriver.
    Life is rough, babe.
Gee. You talk about all this cool integration, and the miracle tech we have to make patients happy.
Much more difficult to do with a screwdriver and NO integration. We did it all day long. Right after we walked to work. Through three feet of snow. Backwards. ;)
Coming, with love, from the ancient Dr. Frink.

Dr.Cliff! I'm an audiologist of South Korea and one of your subscribers and fans as well. I'm really enjoying watching ur videos well. BTW, can u recommend the REM&HIT device except for Verifit2? Of course, I know verifit2 is the best device among many variety of REM&HIT, but due to the budget problem, I'm confusing between Inventis Trumpet&Drum or Interacoustics Affinity compact version4. Can u recommend which would be better or any other recommendations or advices choosing REM&HIT device? Thanks in advance.

i love the old push power analogs aids with 2 or 3 trim pots you could monkey with them yourself with a little screwdriver,,they sounded great! now you get these digital aids that cant hold a steady sound always bouncing up and down always doing something thats constantly fluctuating being annoying and every now and then the aid will go "wa waaa wa wa,,wa wa,waaa" so the people designing these new aids who dont wear them seem to know whats best,,they build these new aids full of new tech that old people dont need, want or use...man i miss those awesome hearing aids of the early 90's
