Given that this is a Christian context, I would assume that "artillery" is used in the same way military equipment are used throughout the Bible as a metaphor for the gospel. E.g. 2 Cor 10 "For though we walk in the flesh, _we are not waging war according to the flesh._ *For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.* We destroy *arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God,* and *take every thought captive to obey Christ,* being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete." Rev 19: 21 "And the rest were slain by *the sword that came from the mouth* of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh." Eph 6: 10f Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. *Put on the whole armor of God,* that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Etc. These verses aren't speaking of "carnal" military gear like swords or body armor or guns and the like, but being "equipped" and ready to bring the word of God to the world.
I see evidence for postmillennialism in the Bible. However, many people are coming out and saying that God has told them he is coming soon. I understand you could dismiss it if it was one person but a lot of people have said that he has told them that his return is near. How do you respond to that?
Jesus says no man will know the day or hour. Paul also said that Jesus revealed Himself to the disciples and then lastly Paul. Jesus warns this would happen.
