one note is the colder the better, wet snow that is closer to melting is waay harder-it slows the board and sticks to it, but drier snow still rides better the colder it is as well 🤔
@@claysoggyfries even the smoothest surfaces still rub and cause friction and depending on material sometimes it’s worse. Even his older beat up board could be waxed and feel like new. When it comes to riding anything in the snow a little bit of wax goes a long way. 👍✌️
Thanks for this review. This year I bought one but had no idea there was different shapes and so. So bought a JIB. We had twice snow in Paris like 1/2-1 inche. Enough to tried few things. First without grip the front foot slip towards the nose and makes issues placing back the front foot in the middle of the board challenging. Just doing a flip or a pop shuv while sliding was a bit challenging. Did a lot of static tricks (it was a bit frustrating like doing carpet boarding but worth because getting used to foot placements). Just received the prism grip tape. So now I ll be ready for next snow fall. Just sent you a DM on instagram. Definitely want to get a team or signature board to try. Will look for the concave too. Your review and experiences helps a lot. Thanks 🙏🏽
I had a plastic snow skate as a kid, I could swear it looked exactly like a jib series but it definitely wasn’t. I picked up an ambition team model 2024 this year and am I ever glad with my decision! 2 street and 1 park session so far
I think in general these wooden ones are just too heavy. They kind of work, yes. But I kind of prefer just a regular deck without trucks and wheels. Less stable in how it moves forward, but way easier to handle. It won't flip as easily depending on technique used, but I can do more tricks with those at the moment.
I have never snow skate before but it looks like your starting your Ollie's and kick flips wayy late. Like your boards hanging so far off the edge before you pop. maybe that's how your supposed to do it tho idk.
hell yeah!! I found my wood ambition snow skate as a curb find on a sunny day in August while out skating around town. Someone just put it on the curb! Basically best curb find of my lift. This music played in my head when I found it! th-cam.com/video/69AyYUJUBTg/w-d-xo.html
🤙 A little something to express gratitude for your content and help you go through a tough time. Hope it gets better for you Rad Rat!
Thank you so much!!

Yeah, the icier it gets, the easier. These snowskates are not snowboards for sure. Soft snow is a no-go most of the time.
You gotta wax that thing like you’re waxing a snowboard. It’s easy and ohhh boy you’ll see a big difference.
That’s what I was thinking. Learning to wax is super easy
What’s the difference between
The snow isn't frictionless, that's why the board got torn up. @@claysoggyfries

the ambition boards dont hold wax
they should send you a concave deck and some merch for your efforts. cool update.
This time of year I always debate getting a snowskate. Then I remember I live in Georgia and it only snows here once every 3 years or so.
i live in GA too! in midtown. used to live in denver Colorado tho
I love went rad rat goes hard

Rad rat after tryin the trick hit the snow off the grip and that’ll fix things a little helped me
i have a wood board with plastic bottom, it seems like it would be better for tricks with more exaggerated tails. like bigger/steeper.

I bought one that has a black riser under the boatd and tried it out today. Hellla fuuuun
the vibe of this video is very strange compared to your usual videos i still dig it tho
Snowskates are fun. I can kickflip on my wood Ambition board, but I can't kickflip on a skateboard, LOL.
Mr.rat, I am having trouble in my love life. My LDS family is shunning me. Will you please provide some advice 🙏

i wanted to have my kids try to snow skate, the only time it snowed it was 2 degrees lol
Replacing the board of a cheap snowboard
Informative video, but the snow shot ~6:00 was purty.
Those treads on the plastic one might be slowing you down.
I think the second day your ramp/box must have been a little sloped sideways or something. Weird
I wonder how long those grip nubs will actually stay stuck or even last
40 years

Do you live in colorado springs now or were you just visiting? I saw the pikes peak hoodie so I was curious
