Friendly reminder that Michael Sheen being introduced to the franchise is why he's now in Good Omens.
Whenever the cast did interviews, everyone else was bashing it and talking about how it's beneath them.
But not Michael. No, instead he spent the whole time talking about how much he loves the fantasy genre and getting to work in it.
Neil Gaiman saw this and sent him some of his books, they met up over lunch, and they've been friends ever since.
So, you know. No matter how much one may hate the twilight series, something good DID come out of it.
good omens one of the only shows were angels and demons are class acts and entertaining
Michael Sheen is the gem of these movies. He loves his role and my god, I rewatch these films solely to see his performance. When I think of the character Aro, all I see now is Michael Sheen.
It’s so nice to read this, to see that there are always people who love Twilight... you know, I see a lot of people who hate these movies and I’m a person whose opinions of people matter a lot to me, So when I hear people talk badly about this film, I always question myself by telling myself that I’m probably weird to like this kind of film.. well thank you for your comment, it helps a lot.
@@shanabraga7 I think there are more people who like the saga than people who hate it. I mean with the saga is still relevant till now, it speaks volume how much people love it.
We can agree that there are controversial aspect in the story, but it’s fantasy story anyway.
I always loved the part right after Edward leaves her and she's in her room while the time passes, and I loved it more in the books
I don't know if any of you remember but the pages where blank for every month that passed
Also I have a theory for bellas depression in New moon. In the first movie Edward said everything about him invites her in because he's a vampire. His voice, his face and his smell. People senses a part of the main reasons why people are able to fall in love. Which means falling in love with a vampire is probably more intenss than it would be if she fell in love with a human.

@@unknownnamer330 So in the book they mentioned that the vampires have this thing where sometimes they find their mate for life. Basically like they find their magical soal mate and their bound to them. It makes sense because vampires are frozen in time usually in pain for eternity. So the only thing that would for fill them is an eternity of love. The majority of the time they fall for another vampire who feels the same way . And they literally can't be apart from each other. Its love beyond comprehension. And its rare that a human could be cable of this kind of love. This actually what every member of the Cullen family went through, Alice with jasper, Rosalie with Emmet and Carlisle with his wife. It's similar to how animals find their mate and when one of the partners gets ripped away from the other, they both feel agonizing pain. Thats why Edward and bella literally couldn't be apart from one another. If he hadn't come back they would've permanently been in unimaginable pain and never would've moved on because they are fated to be together.
I love these movies/books so much. So sometimes the criticism is a little too much. Yeah, they're cringey at times but no-one talks about the awesome parts like the mythology to the vampires in this universe, how incredible the soundtracks are, or that Bella was really the first solid depiction of teenage melodrama & on-screen depression. As someone who's suffered most of his life with chemical imbalances, these films bring such nostalgia & comfort to me. They help take me back to times where I was just seeking an escape from reality & had no responsibilities or a care in the world. New moon wasn't my favorite book but it's one of my favorite movies from the franchise.
19:45 Just wanted to point out that it's not an inconsistency with the first movie, there have been more killings in this second movie. It's not made too clear, but Charlie and Angela have mentioned it early on.

I love how I can put this movie on and then tune it out while I’m working. Something about YA films playing in the background is oddly soothing.
Ok so in New moon and eclipse they show more of how bella and Edward kiss. So they both hold back because Edward is really strong because he's a vampire so he doesn't want to hurt her. It's why in the first movie he pushed back when he started kissing her. Think of it like this vampires are like made of hard dimonds/ metal and their personality is combined with animal predator/ blood lust/ human characteristics. Thrown in with hormones.

That’s not how things work..
This was the movie that got me even slightly interested in the series. I was about 12 or so and a boy so it was pretty much frowned upon to like Twilight but something about this movie made me not care. I was into it. I didn’t see any of them in theaters cuz it wasn’t the biggest interest of mine but I made sure to see the series through and that’s because of New Moon.

Never read the books. I loved them all but some of the CGI was rough. My favorite is from about last 15 minutes of 4th movie through to the end of the 5th movie.

I've always had a sort of love/hate relationship with New Moon.
Narratively, I think New Moon is the heart of the entire Saga. And I also think artistically, it was the franchses peak.
But on the flip side I always considered it the least re-watchable because the middle kind of drags. When I rewatch New Moon I'll often fast forward from Edward leaving to the cliff dive.

I think the waking up scenes make her sound like a pig squealing and not someone being scared. I can't get it out of my head. Not a fan of that.
Otherwise, she's a bit better in this movie, acting-wise. Less breathy and less lip biting. I don't know if that's better direction or just better acting or both.
And there are talks of hikers seeing and getting attacked by bears, which is why Bella says that to Jacob. But it was Laurant and Victoria that were killing.

I think this franchise is a mistake.
No one thinks about how selfish Jacob is being. He didn't imprint on Bella, so if she was to pick him and then he imprinted on someone, then she would be left in the dust. Knowing he could imprint on someone at any given time and still trying to pursue her, was a real jerk move. He gets a pass for before he knew about the whole wolf and imprinting thing, but once he found out, he should have backed off. Especially knowing the whole Sam, Emily, and Leah situation.
Yeah, Bella really dodged a bullet by not choosing Jacob.
Imagine if Jacob and Bella ended up together, but he still imprints on Bellas baby? That whole imprinting thing is just too much.

Yeah but imprinting is supposed to be rare it’s not something that’s guaranteed it doesn’t happen to all wolves so I really hate this take that Jacob is selfish like what he’s just supposed to put his feeling in hold he can’t ever pursue or have have feelings for anyone just because something MIGHT HAPPEN like not even guaranteed how is that fair to him he doesn’t want to imprint and it might never happen and if demon spawn was never born Jacob never would have imprinted sooo
@@noelbernabe8704Renesmee would’ve never existed if Jacob and Bella got together tho. Regardless - imprinting causes the werewolf to adapt to whatever the individual needs whether it be a friend, brother, etc. this would include father.
