I just started couponing about a year ago when I noticed that prices were going up so much. And as I’ve learned how to do it, I have offered so many times to help people do it. And no one has taken me up on it. But they’ll come over and want things. And at first, I would let people take a few things here and there. But not anymore! For people that are truly in need I don’t mind helping out. But for those who choose not to even try to learn how to do this, no.
I am trying to figure it out. Haven't been able to do toothbrush deal yet because I can't find them in stock out of 6 stores. So far the sodas is the only deal I have managed so far. Not giving up yet

I love these type of videos ! I agree it’s hard for me to say no a friend came over and was just grabbing stuff from mine . Then the next day she was talking about how she needed dish soap and I was like well there’s not to many deals on dish soap right now and she was like well you have some in your stockpile don’t you . I was just thinking I’m not the free store over here 😅
CA has 10% sales tax and some people don't even want to help you pay that. I lay low and just keep to myself now. I don't discuss deals and couponing anymore.
I made curtains frm sme old sheets and put them up to cover the shelves in my garage. No one can see whats in my stockpile. They can only see tp and pt stacked on top. No one has asked any questions about so far about why I hve curtains up in my gatage 😃
I get it. I slowed down one year because I just didn't have the time and I was really tired. My bags were smaller but still included full size paper towels and toilet paper. Everyone said thank you. we appreciate it except one. They were wondering why their bag was so small.

Wow! “Coupon in Silence”. Good word of advice. I had no idea other people put pressure on couponers for Freebies. Your stock was definitely NOT FREE! For you to work deals it takes Time, Research, physically shopping the store or picking up order. Driving, parking, dealing with other customers and angry store employees. Trying to find what you need in only One Store? Doesn’t happen. Stock is Low. And I’m just a beginner! But won’t give up! The Economy Demands us to be Smart with our $$. Thank you kindly for sharing. My mom is a very kind, giving person and always has been, and I've only ever seen people take advantage of her for it. No one returns that generosity. I know that there are good people, but what I've observed is that when you are consistently generous with your time and resources, people come to expect it from you. Even my mom just volunteered to send stuff to my brother (from my, as yet small, couponing stash) - presumably because she knows I'm getting it on the cheap. I don't mind helping him out, but that should've been my decision.
Whether family or friends, folks will take advantage of you. I'm learning to say no but then I'm made to feel like I am the bad guy. I look at this way, if they want the deals, they can do all the leg work just like I do.
I'm 60 years old and I'm a giver! I've learned that the more you give, the more you create takers! Givers make takers! Should you give? YES, you should give extra, just what you can share. I made a rule $1.00 and under I can share or donate! If it cost you more, keep it for your family!
My immediate family and I share offers, so it's an equal relationship. I also give about 50% to the local food pantry, and save some items for friends. For example, my friend who is going to be new mom in a few month, so I'm stocking up on diapers and wipes to get her started. Then I will show her how to do it herself. The reality is rebates are accesable to everyone, it's not an exclusive club. You can give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, of teach a man to fish and he can eat for a lifetime. If someone wants to save money, tell them you can teach them how it works or point them to those who can. If they say they don't have time, that is their problem.... We prioritize what is important to us.
The only people I regularly give household items to are my best friend and my brother. My brother paid for our landscaping and xm radio, neither of which we asked for. So, I feel like giving it to him is a way to say thanks. Anyone can take personal care, though. And, my gift baskets I put together are personal care that is curated towards each person.
When I was first introduced to it, it was such fun-2years now-but now these stores N mgrs give you such a hard time I used to wonder why everyone wasn’t doing it but I see the hassle: time gas attitude. Crazy! I heard the same thing happen to a lady I know but if anyone feeds you and yours and you don’t give a dime and you still look for more where is your ❤. Enjoyed this!

I’ve offered for years to teach them how to coupon if you don’t wanna learn not then I sell bundles ❤ I used to not have a problem saying sure to a few coworkers I knew were struggling. A lot of them are young college kids living on a budget, but I can’t even do that anymore. How can I feed my neighbors kids if my kids are hungry with something my grandmother taught us decades ago had a couple of holes in the backseat at work the other day and one of my coworkers said hey can I get that toilet paper and the other coworkers said hey you know she sells that don’t you?😂
I make gift bags for birthdays, last party was for several birthdays at one party, lady adults. Body washes, makeup, nail polishes and many other items, price if they had to buy it would be over $100 each. One made a big deal of what freebies I must have gotten for free. They all know I'm a couponer, but got me when she made the comments, so lesson learned will give a little gift card in a greeting card. And keep all my goodies for my immediate family.

I went through this with my family- not with items, but with helping them. I helped whenever they needed help, figuring that it would be reciprocated when I needed help. Unfortunately that did not happen.

Good advice! I couponed big when raising a young family….20 years ago. Always gave what I could yet as a family of five there was not always a lot to give. Everything is so expensive now. So glad to see so many young families still trying to save money. Keep up the good work!!
Don't tell everybody you do couponing. I only give a few of my good friends, when I have those that they need and they know it's unpredictable = only sometimes, when I got a few good coupons and good deals. They really appreciate it and these actually have been helping me since before I had anything to give them. Some friends know you are nice and they really take advantage of your kindness. I have come to realization on a few and I don't go out of my way for them anymore.
I am fortunate. Don’t have a big stockpile. One son & daughter-in law never ask for anything, and when some things that my other son likes are almost zero, I get that for him and he’s SO THANKFUL. Last year after Christmas i was get ready for a surgery, i make sure i have everything, i Only have one big bottle of dawn dish soap and 2 small, someone in my family came to help me, i always let her have anything she wants. She took my big bottle of dawn, i told my husband not to say anything, he did, now she have to ask first before taking anything, i don’t have problem to help but if i have only one of something wasn’t in my stockpile i have it in the kitchen ask first, the 2 small one was in my stockpile.

I got mad as heck because I have to research watch videos clip coupons drive put gas in the car drive to several stores scan scan scan scan walk around look all over the place. Add the stuff up budget for it. At first I didn't know how to price it now I do to make a profit which isn't much. Now I say if you don't like my price buy it yourself and see how much you pay
Just like food stamps, and food giveaways. People start getting it, then throw a fit when it stops . It's not supposed to Be a lifestyle, but a help through a hard time. Always exceptions, for elderly, or infirmed.

My children and in-laws have the Ibotta apps. I will share your videos and others if there are some really good deals. If they don't get the deals and I do they can buy them at a low cost or sometimes free. At least for my gas money.

My hauls have slowed down a lot this year so my stockpile hasn’t really grown. I still have not told anyone about my stockpile besides parents who only grab toothpaste at this point. Im not working right now soo I need these items since I can’t afford to spend a lot rn. I think smartest thing to do is to just not tell anyone about it besides those I want to help with is my parents.

I only help my close family and one friend that's in a tough financial situation. I've helped other people and they act like they are at a grocery sweepstakes competition. Never again. I'm keeping who I help to a minimum, especially with what's going on in the world now.
I've done same for years. During covid, quite a lot. I never took any money. Don't think they realize you get a deal, but you do pay something. I only help my direct family now, to help out.
