    Excellent tips!
    Why does one of my ZVE10's break up a long recording into smaller clips while the other ZV-E10 records continuously without breaking up the recording into clips? I just recorded an interview with two ZV-E10's and one of them had the entire interview on one clip, whereas the other camera broke it up into smaller clips. This isn't an impossible workaround but just makes creating a Multicam a bit more difficult. Thanks!

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's the difference in the SD card type you're using. If the card is too low, it'll break it up. If it's the right size, you can have an excessively long file and it'll stay as one file. This short video goes into that and shares my recommendations for the right SD cards to avoid that issue. th-cam.com/video/4ZvilF7o-4g/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that'll help clarify things for you!

      Yeah, you can buy cameras body only and get only the camera or the one with kit lens. If you don’t plan to use the kit lens at all or you have lenses already, that’s why the body only cameras are available.

    Hi, when I try and set my face/eye to on my camera want allow it. It reads: This operation or setting not available as follow. Product showcase set:on. What does this mean? Is it set up for showcase proposes.

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not sure exactly how you have your camera setup fully but in general, if you have product showcase mode on, it’s set for that mode. So it won’t prioritize your face or eye but the items you place in front of the camera. Once you’re done with that clip, you can turn that mode off and it’ll revert back to face and eye autofocus which is on by default.
      If you haven’t optimized your camera fully for video, I’d highly recommend setting your camera up so all the settings are locked in and customized specifically for video. This video shows how I set up the ZV-E10 for the specific purpose: Sony ZV-E10 Settings for Video | Every Menu for Video

    Does setting the autofocus like this impact how the camera focuses on objects held up to it?

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It changes the zone of the autofocus basically to a wider area vs a more narrow one. You can still enable product showcase mode if you want in this mode.

    Hey Diana, I'm track sprinter and work with athletes. Can you school me a bit for sprinters/athletes? What's a good setting for someone running like 20-25mph. We really need clarity

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah, I can definitely help you with this. Surprisingly back in the day, I used to be track manager in high school and filmed our girls track team so I can better understand the environment you're in when recording.
      If you're eye level or somewhere about the first row in the bleachers or sideline, the lens you choose will make a hell of a difference getting the shots you want. I would still film in 4k, but be aware of the rolling shutter in 4k. If you're using a monopod, fluid head tripod type ballhead, and lets say a 70-200mm f2.8 lens, the base settings will still be based on the environment.
      Because they're moving fast and you'll likely hit a point where you need to zoom out some if they're running on the track side you're located, I'd shoot at a f5 or f7 or so for the aperture. Even with great AF that can track them, you want to make sure as your adjusting the zoom and they're either getting closer or farther from you-you still have room to capture them without feeling like there's a hairline of AF. If I'm filming on the ZV-E10, I'll want to drop from 4k to 1080p and use 1080p 60fps. That way, number 1, I'm able to freeze that action later on if we're reviewing the tape for performance.
      The other reason would be to give yourself some breathing space on the shutter speed. You'll likely be outside where there's ample sunlight. So a low aperture would only be possible with an ND filter. However, you don't want to be playing with swapping ND's or adjusting it mid race. Still have one though because you never know if it's going to get too bright on various days.
      Had a similar experience using the A74 and the 70-200mm f2.8 at my nephews graduation. They're not moving very fast exactly, but when you're further away and it's a procession moving that's not going to be repeated, you'll want to make sure your settings are dialed in, and you're ready to adjust as you need to. I would also consider looking at how you have your camera setup for filming when it comes to customizing the button layout. Try your setup when you're at a practice or warmups, and that'll _really_ help give you a feel for how you need to shoot for that style of event.
      Some of the features I've found that helps best is readjusting your custom wheel (near your thumb) to either the aperture or ISO (depending on what you feel you need to adjust more), and leveraging the clear image zoom when necessary. Once you lock in your muscle memory to know where to quickly make adjustments without having lookup from the camera screen, it'll really help you in mid race adjust on the fly. You won't want to make major changes on the fly, but the micro-adjustments will save your bacon.
      Hope this helps!

      Then you need to go into the button customization settings in photo mode and remove the option where you start recording a video by pressing the shutter button back to the default of taking a photo with the shutter button.

    Thanks for these! How do I change the setting to have a blurred background when recording my videos for TH-cam? I can’t seem to figure that one out 😩

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I covered that in this video: Does the "Bokeh Button" Work on the Sony ZV-E10 Kit Lens for Video?
      th-cam.com/video/JnyvC6VMvSg/w-d-xo.html
      But a blurry background is based on the lens, not the camera. So unless you have a lens that can provide you a blurry background hitting the bokeh button won’t create one if the lens isn’t capable.

    Hey can you tell me why my camera is showing " this operation or setting not available as follows “ when I try to fixed something on settings

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on the mode you're in and what's buttons you're pressing. How you set your camera up fixes that, so if you haven't completely gone through the menu to optimize the camera for creating content, I'd highly recommend it.
      It takes some time, but this is the video where I go through every menu on the ZV-E10 to do just that for video content creators: th-cam.com/video/_MXKYjyjTlY/w-d-xo.html

    Can it shot timelapse on raw ?

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would imagine so, but photos aren't my thing. So, you'd have to have a photo based creator that to get the specifics if there are any quirks shooting in raw. The only thing I remember not being able to do was use Clear Image Zoom in Raw, but not sure if that applies to time lapse photos because I only used S&Q.

      No mirrorless camera from any brand has that ability. Now, if you’re using a computer software to record like I do with Ecamm Live, that’s what I do to be able to pause my videos. But that’s connecting my camera to the computer and recording via the computer. 90% of my videos are done that way, even some of the vertical videos. This is what I use: DianaLink/Ecamm

    I got lost on step 4

    • @DianaGladney
      @DianaGladney  ปีที่แล้ว

      Step 4 is really just re-assigning buttons on the camera to things you'd use the most. I actually use the trash can button (where it says (C2) for Product Showcase mode or something. You can set the button to something you use the most based on how you create. That's all that tip was sharing since I said change the top button and use it for volume, if you want to keep that feature assigned to something, you have other buttons you can use.
