    I use both Printful and Printify. Though I do like Printful, the ONLY time I use them now is for the few things that printify doesn't offer, like 16x20 canvas shipping from U.S. Can't get that with Printify. Quick turnaround time, similar quality and huge price difference--Printify ftw.

    Hmmm…if I’m paying $30 for a T-shirt, I want good quality. I understand your reasoning. It’s just not for me. I’d be upset to pay $30 for a shirt of poor quality yet, it arrived quickly. It’s clothing and art. I want it to last. I want to see the art overtime and for others to see it. A T-shirt is an advertisement, it’s a business card, it’s a display, it’s a message. If the quality is poor, the message gets lost. I’ll pay for quality. Quicker it’s always better.

      I only choose good quality t-shirts.
      And for what it's worth, I used to pay $20 for t-shirts as a kid... in the 80s. So maybe our perspective on pricing is a bit out of date.

    On the Printful "File Guidelines" page it does state that thier printers will convert your submitted print file from RGB to CMYK colour space, that will be why the blue, pink and yellow on your t-shirt was muted. You are able to order pre-made colour swatches on a sample product if colour accuracy is extremely important.

    • @thehungrydotart
      @thehungrydotart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's interesting because I was advised at some point in the past that it was best to submit RGB files. Interesting. I will have to dig deeper.

    I ordered some samples from Printful on June 3rd and I just received them today June 17 smdh I'm gonna pass on Printful. Shipping takes way too long. With Printify, it usually takes about a week to receive an order.

    • @thehungrydotart

      From my experience, the samples usually take longer on Printful. they don't put a priority on them.

    Do you ever create your designs on a dark background when you plan on printing on a black something?

      I do often. However, I keep the background on a separate layer so I can remove it later, making the background transparent for my final PNG file.

    • @thehungrydotart

    Hi Dave, this video was very helpful. I been trying to find the right sight for my T-shirt business and when I tried tee-scape and another site the print quality came out bad. Your shirts look great, do you mind sharing what file size you submitted to make the image come out good? I am new to this and would really appreciate you giving me some specific details about what should be submitted for good print outs. I would like to start a Children’s t-shirt line.

      Sorry for the late reply. I usually design to the dimension area or larger because I may want to put that same print on something like a large poster or another item. My standard across-the-board size is now 4000x5400 pixels.

    I started my POD shop with Printful, but any more, I can not justify their rather luxury price point. I've been working my butt off adding new product to my shop with Printify as well as moving all my products that I've done with Printful over to Printify. Guess what happens with a $7 lower price on my mugs? Oh yeah, I sell more of them. Sorry, Printful, your prices suck.

    The way I understand it is CMYK are what colors are printed. So it’s best to design in CMYK then convert to RGB (for some reason) and the printer will convert it back to CMYK. Sucks cuz a lot of my designs have colors CMYK just isn’t capable of.

      I just gave them a look. My concerns would be that they don't have any direct integrations outside of Shopify. That works for me personally, but I couldn't promote it to everyone. I'm also a little put-off that every time I click on a different part of their navigation, it takes me to a different website. Their art prints are on a different site than their clothing. And their API link leads you to an entirely different site. That's peculiar.
