Never played a gacha before, but this song alone is enough to make me try out Arknights. To the music nerds out there: The chorus when it transitions to 7/4, that was so freaking cool! It's hard to pull off that time signature but the composer(s?) here did it seamlessly.

The song main function is to keep in the minds of the soldiers their homeland. Hoping that, one day, they will come back to their homes. Until this day the homeland will be a Lighthouse that gives to them the hope needed to keep fighting.
The last part, before the chorus, being singed in a more desperate and direct way, without stopping between the verses, make me feel like "the reality is biting" the song. but the chorus come back to bring the hope to the collocutor and keeping the dreams of reaching the homeland in mind to keeping fighting.

Everyone says Disney, but honestly all I hear is Lord of The Rings Musical. It unironically sounds like it was took right from there, and that's a very high praise - that thing just takes you hostage and immerses you in its atmosphere the moment you hit start
At the start i thought it as a hobbit bgm
reminds of the last goodbya by billy boyd. but what i love the most is the contrast of tone with this song and ch 9 story, but again the tune in this can be a lil bit bittersweet sadness too like remembering the hard journey of ch 9 from saileach pov but also the beauty of it. the contrast fot each other so well

When the music started, I am really shocked myself. I thought the soundtrack would be cool and epic. But this!!! This is different from my expected. For some reason this makes me emotional, just because you're a patriot and love your country, doesn't mean you will follow its evils. Saileach still loving Victoria despite its many flaws has this emotional and sentimental feel, the music conveys such a passion towards hope and towards light, her own light, that its really sweet and cathartic to hear.

For me it's more like a anthem singed by soldiers that are sended far way from home. The song main function is to keep in the minds of the soldiers their homeland. Hoping that, one day, they will come back to their homes. Until this day the homeland will be a Lighthouse that gives to them the hope needed to keep fighting.
The last part, before the chorus, being singed in a more desperate and direct way, without stopping between the verses, make me feel like "the reality is biting" the song. but the chorus come back to bring the hope to the collocutor and keeping the dreams of reaching the homeland in mind to keeping fighting until the last moment because Victoria and the chance to meet it again is worth it. But in the end the majority of the soldiers will never march to Victoria again. And the Lighthouse will be always just a glimmer light at distance.
