The game has a very unique combo system. Basicly most combo's start with either square and triangle and have like 4 variations per button and depending on the enemy pattern/state you go for longer or shorter combos. So yeah there work differently. Some also can lead to "animation p0rn" when they have movement in them. Air combos can be also used defensive similar to rebirth but to a lesser degree and there is also charged version's for the combo finishers that will give you more stun value so you can use that to adapt when a combo finisher would get you hit but than it stuns the enemy instaeds. There are also special moves that help you to extend combos by a safe stun. Its almost a bit too much. You feel very powerful when you get the full grasp on the combat. From every "souls-like" i've played this has the best combo system and the patterns of the enemies also feels great. Dodging and parrying are quite tough though but thats a good thing imo.

Loved the slow walk at the end. Do different hits, strings and finishers do different damage? How do you decide wich moves to use?
