I have a tool very much that, and it's very effective...but lets make on thing clear, if those boards are fastened down with ardox (spiral) nails...no tool on earth makes this job easy. And the boards will come off as kindling.
I took up a deck with screws , some pulled boards and screws ,and the others boards left the screws behind, the one I bought in the center is a notch for leftover screws or nails,,it worked great on anything, no more on my knees,,
Easy os long as you are in Canada and used Robertson screws...take a small drill bit to clean out the socket on the screw head, and simply remove them...just finished that job on 3 small decks at home. If the screws are Philips, you are screwed...literally and figurative.

I have. Breaks the boards. However using a 48" pry bar does ok. 50/50.

does this allow you to re-use the stringers if you pry the decking off when it is screwed into the stringers? or does it do too much damage?
I was just waiting for him to get bit by one of the nails in the board he was straddling... Ouchies
