Adding one of the locked AF areas to your available choices eliminates tracking.

Thank you Ely I appreciate this hard work. What were the top reasons you wanted to upgrade? Any features you didn’t need really?

The banding on 9:10 is probably due to lens correction in Lightroom.

You should set up triple AF back button. For me that I shoot sports I have the main one for general tracking, AE lock for eye AF, and AF point button to register/recall and set up for spot af area and non-tracking. That way you never need to go and change AF modes

I’m gonna have to dive in the menu some more and try this.

@@ThePhotographerGuy there are several videos out there illustrating how, for either the R5ii or R3. It works well also for other canon R models.

Your video included the pair of LP-E6P batteries, but there was no mention of the third-party battery issue and its specific limitations. It is rumored that Canon might have an upcoming firmware update will enable the LP-6NH to function normally with the R5ii.

I haven't had any luck with third party batteries, so I just stick with the camera brand.

@@ThePhotographerGuy - Many photographers opt for third-party batteries; I use the 6LP-E6NH PowerExtra from Amazon in my 5R and 6Dii without any issues, and they see a lot of use in media sports photography. It's important for those considering the 5Rii to be aware of any compatibility issues with the R5ii. While the choice of camera brand batteries is personal, it's crucial to inform others about the potential battery issues with the 5Rii.

Thank you for the video. Just bought a new R52 yesterday with 35 1.8... which system is best for video editing? PC or MacBook Pro?

that's awesome. I am really not the best to ask about video editing. I use final cut on a mac but i haven't tried anything else.
