  • Freightliner Cascadia fridge install. It’s a tight fit but did it! Hisense 1.7 cu ft fridge. Don’t pay a shop a bunch of money, do it yourself. This fridge requires a 1500w or higher inverter. Hope this video helps, please hit like and subscribe, thank you!!

    What is the width of this fridge??? I thought it's 17"! Is it?
    How did you manage to put it into 15,5"?

      D S lol let’s just say it was a really tight fit and took some force even after the trimming..

    How did you get this refrigerator in did you cut the outside to because mines would not even begin to fit at all

    • @dedik8d387
      @dedik8d387  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Demond Mitchell you have to remove the trim first, then there’s plastic shelf hooks you will need to shave down. Then the fun part of finessing it in there which will also take some force.. hope this helps! Mine quit working so I don’t have it in there anymore..

    Are there power concerns if you don't idle or would this be powered by an APU? Just wondering if drivers can let this run on the inverter without draining the batteries.

      Videodrome_PC_Gaming I never hit the kill switch on my truck when I took 2-3 days off and my truck would fire right up but I’m sure it’s not a good idea. If you have an APU, I think you can set it up to start up and charge the batteries if they start getting low, therefor leaving the fridge on and having the APU on standby..

    Where to plug it

    • @dedik8d387
      @dedik8d387  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Enuel Mene you will have to add a power inverter in your and the fridge will plug into that. Also make sure the inverter can handle the power from the fridge. Hope this helps!

    So how did you secure the fridge in the cabinet?

    • @dedik8d387
      @dedik8d387  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Tim Arend it’s a pretty tight fit so it didn’t move at all but it also didn’t last very long due to the truck bouncing around all the time. These fridges just aren’t made for this. Look into a brand called Dometic, they have all types of fridges that would work great in a truck. Hope this helps!!

    • @dedik8d387

      Qamar Chohan it’s an 1800 watt inverter. The fridge didn’t last very long because of the bumpy roads but it did last a year so it’s a cheap alternative. Hope this helps!!

      @@dedik8d387 what is the power draw from yhe fridge? or the wattage?

    • @TherealNomad01
      @TherealNomad01 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      myroom isverydirty those fridges only draw 100 watts on start up but in reality only use abt 60 watts and are off mostly, they require very minimal power you don’t need a huge inverter if its only for the fridge....

    I have a 1500 Watt inverter and this fridge is the only thing plugged to it. Yet it’s apparently causing the inverter to overload. I wonder why. Maybe lower the temperature in my fridge?

    • @brucemalcolm8401

      Check the wattage, maybe it’s more than what the inverter is rated for.
