Man, I do like to see some hammer speedruns. As good as I am, there's always new techniques to learn from speedrunners when it comes to specific monsters and proper positioning.
Addition to the description apparently anja and fulgur anja are more resistant to wallbang compared to the other monster. They get up pretty quick after getting wallbanged.
IIRC, TA doesn't take PC runs into account, because it's far too easy to mod things into your favor on PC. They only accept console runs, for some reason.
@@quintonblackburn3916 Besides mods, the other big reason is that PC MHW straight up runs faster, as in animations take lesser frames and has less input lag. If your PC is powerful enough, your attack animations will literally execute faster, especially with weapons that have long combos with separate button presses for each part of the combo. There are videos out there comparing PC and console frames side by side, LS and CB are the most affected because of their long combos and total animation time, input lag also affects your rolling execution.
@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat any link on that video comparison. I don't own a console so I'm interested to see it. But as a CB and LS main, can confirm that the attack animation fluid just nicely, especially with LS. On custom ruiner arena quest I could get a consistent run on mid 5 with no augment (LS)

The one that is 4 seconds and would be extended to 10 seconds if you clutch claw. And due to that usually hunters use that as a window to tenderize.
@@lowtzechien5308 Caoslayer has a video on how that drooling stagger works, but the gist of it is that once you do enough damage to the monster, the drooling stagger will replace the next flinch you'd get. However, it'll never replace a knockdown, which is why Canta never got one. It should be the same for monsters like Kushala that get knockdowns from bopping the head - if you solely focus the head, you'll never see that drooling stagger.

It's more fun to actually fight the monster than to cheese it down with wall bangs, traps, and mounts. As well as equipping faceroll mantles like temporal.

How can you tell when you are going to KO the monster? It's like you time risky uppercuts knowing that it will stun them instead of trading hits
