    Cracking video as always Lee, and well done on the Focus, that was definitely a good buy. I totally agree with you on the Mondeo, there's an arse for every seat as they say, and I for one would definitely of brought the Mondeo even in that condition. Its done nothing in the way of mileage for one of those and it would definitely get someone out of trouble if they needed a reliable cheap run around!!! Keep em coming Lee I'm really enjoying all your content. Regards, John 🙂

    First time I have watched this channel, it was an eyeopener at the auctions. Some very sound advice given by the gentleman regarding getting too over -enthusiastic and going beyond your budget. Also the Range Rover described as a 'Money-Pit' which hit the nail on the head. Certainly watch again though.

      @@snbala the problem with this market is that cars are worth whatever anyone is prepared to pay for them be it at trade or retail and it distorts the market. Wonder if you could talk about buying a motor without a logbook in one of your videos Lee? I happened to do that last year when buying my mk1 focus. The seller had a active logbook for the car but took his personal plate off it just before sale. worth mentioning that if you wanted to be a "proper" trader there are alot of additional costs, you need a forecourt and need to be open when people would want to look at cars, so say goodbye to your weekends, then theres always that person who buys a £1000 car expecting a brand new vehicle so youve got those chancers to deal with aswell, not worth it in my opinion

    • @thatcheapguy525
      @thatcheapguy525 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrChimpeh forecourt sales are a different market. back in my day (a very very long time ago) we'd often call those boys 'last penny autos' because they'd have to squeeze every last penny out of the deal thanks to all their overheads.
      Lee is a proper car trader. he moves most of his stock quickly to all kinds of people he knows: retail, trade, mates etc trying hard to match the right buyer to the car. traditionally, you wouldn't drive by proper car traders, you'd have to get introduced. YT is a useful introdution tool.

Shame about the Picasso, I'm not a fan of them but I could see where you were coming from and why you bought the Mondeo too. The Range Rover for £4 grand was a bargain thats an £7 grand car all day here near London even if it has problems also that yellow Punto was a good deal i think as they are very rare now , just to put it in perspective a 2003 Seicento Sporting is worth £2 grand here near London as people are desperate for cars.

      Hi micheal, I buy low end budget vehicles from £500-£2k selling vehicles up to £3.5 retail. Normally bread and butter cars, so corsa, fiesta, focus, kia, i30's, astras, etc. I have always dealt with this sector

  • @WhiteDieselShed
    @WhiteDieselShed ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Bonkers prices. I know my cars high mileage 156k miles but its a late 2013 Mondeo, 2L diesel with most of the toys like nav and heated leather etc and that was just over £3k some 5½ years ago. Replacement parts = one set of front brake pads and a battery. Those Range Rovers are tempting at that money, but do I really want to pay 10x the amount of tax? Although I would get a decent refund when it breaks down (When not IF) :)

    At some point the trickle down of ICE cars must be affected by fewer of them being produced due to car manufactures being obliged to make more battery powered cars. This I would imagine will make the older ICE cars more expensive, particularly the smaller ones as car manufacturers appear to be concentrating on larger, more expensive EVs....
