This video is spot on, Graemememe Parker! I'm a military veteran, did my time in the sandbox, and unfortunately carry that PTSD cross on my back. My psychiatrist recommended i watch calming shows, like ASMR or cat videos, and your channel was the most recommended on TH-cam. At the time, I had been watching The Critical Drinker quite a bit, so why not another Scot with a channel? Best thing I've ever done! I love watching you and Craigy Boy and the family. I'm a city boy and never had any i interest in cows or farming, but now I'm identifying things like digital dermatitis, ulcers, toe necrosis, and other hoof issues. Just seeing those cows getting trimmed and healthy has been more than therapeutic. Just want to say thank you for being you and sharing your work experiences and fun! You're an angel!
Thanks for including the interview-it was illuminating. What the psychologist didn’t include was that your narrations are lovely-sonorous, calm, and full of kindness. You make your viewers feel included, something that many people don’t feel in their day-to-day lives. Thanks, Graeme.
I totally agree with you, the psychologist missed out the human element that is Graeme Parker. His empathy not just for the animals he treats but also for his viewers comes across again and again. For me, his best yet, was when he mentioned those who are alone at Christmas time and wanted us to know that he was thinking of us. His empathy is supreme. His voice is pretty good to listen to as well.
Hoof trimming brought me here out of curiosity but you are the reason I keep coming back. The hoof trimming is what you do for a job but your personality is what keeps us here and keeps us wanting more. There are other hoof trimmers on TH-cam that I could watch but to be honest they don't hold my attention. I also find myself wanting to scream at them "Graeme wouldn't have done it that way"!!
For me I watch Graeme because I love to see problem solving and listening to the thinking behind the diagnosis. I love to see Graeme's expertise in working out what the problem is, explaining the causes to us and guiding us through every stage of the process. I love that he has a real love for cows and an acute desire to relieve their pain and discomfort. Add in his beautiful family and the banter with Craig and Graham the camera man plus the views of the utterly gorgeous South West Scotland and we have ourselves an entertaining and heart-warming video. Every time.
Funny thing. When I find a topic on TH-cam I like, I will watch a dozen different content creators, but I simply have no desire to watch anyone else about hoof trimming. Been watching since the beginning. Love the channel. 👍🏼
Why I think you guys do so well on the videos is the sheer level of authenticity. The trimming itself is super satisfying and calming (for some bizarre reason) but if the whole HGP weren’t who you are I don’t think it’d work half as well
'I was a farmers son. He died and the farms were sold' Get the book if you haven't already folks. Graeme's a master of understatement 😂 New wrap for the existing pickup with your new cars' colour as the wrap with black lettering. I know...................I'm boring you with that suggestion now. Love all the videos Graeme. Hope you and your lovely family are well and the new challenge of your cottages is coming along to schedule. Loads of love to all of you 🥰🥰
I think that a lot of the appeal is that Graeme is just a regular guy like many, and has ADHD. I am auDHD, and I can see that helping animals and being in nature is very healing to those of us who are neurodivergent, to see someone like us, who is thriving and in turn, he helps all of us to know that we can do better and we can be the helpers. Graeme is just an honest man with a family and they are happy. He spreads that positive energy all over the world. Thank you Graeme!
There are many hoof trimmers on all possible channels. Your channel stands out because you are who you are. Sometimes a little chaotic, a little cheeky. But beyond hoof care, it's important to you that you have a team that not only helps you with your work, but is also mentally important to you. That's why this small, but fine hoof family lives in a good interplay between seriousness, serious work, but also a lot of fun and warmth. Thank you for that!
Tech worker in Silicon Valley here. One of the things I appreciate about what Graeme does, besides the obvious relief of pain and discomfort, is that incidental to that he mentions that farmers are very invested - money and emotions - in the health of their cows. Here in the States one of the stereotypes of farmers and ranchers is that they are all about profit and care little for their livestock. I realize that Graeme is on the other side of The Pond, but farmers here also "get" the connection between animal health and productivity and do not enjoy their animals being in pain/discomfort.
Absolutely true. I grew up on farm in SE Minnesota. We raised black Angus. Regardless if they were in the back 40 (acres) or alot closer we checked them every day. The beef cattle in the barn were given a radio bcuz my dad said it calmed them down. One named Matilda was so tame she would come up to us. I could climb up on her and lay back and nap for a bit while she just foraged through the pasture.
I’m from the Pacific Northwest and here, 20 degrees Fahrenheit is cold. 😂 You snow monkeys are crazy to live where you do! I’d absolutely turn to ice and be rediscovered in a million years lol.
Started watching because a video popped up and I thought it looked interesting but stayed because I care about what Grahem and Craig are up to each day. Your videos have made me feel like I belong to a community and I’m not so alone.
You have a personality that draws people to you. It's a gift,it's a blessing!so enjoy it and find ways to make the world a better place! Love and peace to you and your universal "HERD"❤😊
Graeme, great interview you did. I remember back to the days of the WOPA crush, can you believe all that has happened since then?! Its been amazing & you deserve all of it! Thanks for taking us along & creating our family, the herd. Its a wonderful thing, where we all belong & support each other. We love you Graeme. 💚🐄🧡🐂💚
I found your channel by accident and boy am I glad I did, I love all animals and the care of them. The banter between you and Craig and the other Graeme and not forgetting the lovely Kevin. Keep being yourselves your channel is a tonic for the soul. 👏🙂
Not knowing anything about farming or cows, the thing I like best about the Hoof GP is showing me how much care/work that I never knew was needed for the dairy farmer. It gives me even more respect for the farmer and the life he has to lead. I love seeing the problems with the cow/bulls hoofs and what needs to be done to help these animals but not having to endure the smells associated with the animals.🤗
You and your channel deserve all the attention you receive. There are a few hoof trimming channels out there but you and your team's personality make it so enjoyable to watch. You stand head and shoulders above the others.
I have watched the hoof GP for over 3 years now, Religiously! Never have I ever heard Graham speak of any other hoof trimmer and maybe it's just me but I heard the shade, Sir!!! I did and I loved it lol lol. I love you From Durban South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Great vid, as usual. I did try guessing where the problem was on the hoof, and I got it completely wrong (no big surprise there... lol). I really enjoyed the radio interview too, so thank you for sharing it. Subscribing to your channels has been one of the best things I've done- you're interesting, funny, intelligent, and a really good teacher, engaging us all with your comments and banter. Always a pleasure to watch the three of you doing what you do. Much love to all x
I don't know when I first found your videos, Graeme. I grew up on a farm in NW MT, USA. My dad was all business, but mom was a rescuer, healer, and "fixer" of all breathing critters. I inherited her compassion, empathy, and love of animals. I watch your videos because you help cows in desperate need and great pain. Seeing you help heal is the best!
@@JudyHart1 You grew up exactly 18.1 miles from me. :) There was no hoof trimming in my world either except for our horses. If a cow went lame and didn't recover on its own then we had freezer beef. I'm guessing that dairy farms may have a different strategy. LOL
These videos take my mind away from the stress , worry and anxiety of my life . I am often brought to tears when seeing how you take away the pain of these cows .
I like your videos because they're most always upbeat & hopeful. If I were 30 years younger I'd absolutely take your course & become a trimmer. So yea, I also live vicariously through your videos. I'm just an old lady who loves what you do & wish I had known hoof trimming was a thing when I was younger & able to work. Keep up the wonderful work & may God bless you.
The rescue of Fiona brought me to your main channel. Your trimming, education of trimming/hoof care, banter, shenanigans, and family made me a subscriber. My enjoyment of the work you put into the cows and video crafting has kept me hanging around. Between you and Cammie, I am a fan. Thanks for all your hard work.
We also like you, Graeme, and how much you care, and your joking with your partners, and of course Mrs. HGP and the boys. You all are funny and charming and lovely!!!
I usually watch your videos as I get ready for bed. I just got up and here you are! A real treat for me. I enjoy you Craig and Graham and of course the cows! Have a great day, don’t freeze stay safe and healthy. You all are fantastic!❤❤❤❤❤
Again, thanks for sharing your story and life. I like to see the accomplishments of young men. You see, my son past away at age 31. He was a husband and father. So, your sharing is part of my healing. Thank you so much!
It's always wonderful to watch someone do something they are passionate about, having fun, with a lovely voice, great editing and getting to learn something along the way. I really appreciate your youtube channel. Thank you for all the time you've spent developing it. It is truly special.
I was amused to hear the people in the radion station giving their opinions about why people might enjoy watching your videos. I dare say they're right in some ways, but I think what really makes your videos is the way you present them, with a great balance between seriousness and humour and a good judgement for what content to chose. You have the ability to make the trimming fascinating even to people who will never have to do it themselves.
I’ve been watching your videos for quite a while, since your first crush and you getting the drone stuck in the tree. Then , I was fascinated by the scenery of your beautiful Scotland, but the most important thing about your videos is you. You have so much personality and a great sense of humor. You make us care about cows feet and You have much fun with Craig and anyone else around you. Before you, the only thing about a cow that I cared about was what’s on the plate. Now, I’m thinking about their feet, how they feel, will they recover and so forth. Like the soldier , I too find peace in your videos. They are such a relief from all the horrors in the world. Good luck, much love to you, Craig and your family
Graham ( Cameraman) you need subtitles for his dialect....lol😂😅😂😅 It's true about your Radio interview and what the Phycologist said, your videos are are great stress relief, great for my depression Greame. I would love to see you travel the world meeting other farms and Hoof Trimmers....please please consider this for the future. You are the best
I was watching your videos in bed with migraine and dozed off woke an hour later and it was still hoof trimming but not you guys and i can say it WAS NOT THE SAME AT ALL never again lol thankful for youtube for just going through videos while i slept but i have an algorithm no other hoof trimmers please xxx
Same, I've watched another when I first started watching theHoofGP and noticed right away that the other one TH-cam recommended had no respect for the animals.
Followed HGP for a while, it’s a respite from the world and Graeme, the crew and Ashley and the kids are so likeable and down to earth with a splash of humour 😁 learned of digital dermatitis, sole ulcers, white line, toe necrosis plus salicylic acid and iodine for treatments…thank you!
I don't know when and how I started watching, but I love watching the stories, and your voice is soothing. It may sound odd, but it helps me sleep and relax. I have difficulty getting my brain to stop running at 100 miles an hour, and just listening helps me sleep. I don't know if it's just me with that but I do really appreciate all that you do. Thank you!
Didn’t know Graham, Graeme, Gramm were among the spelling opportunities for your name, Graeme. You learn something every day. Really enjoyed the interview too and the reason why people enjoy your videos. My additions to that list are: Your voice including your accent and annunciation, sense of humor, camaraderie with co-workers, dairy owners, among others. Keep them coming, we are watching for your beginning, middle and end with and without follow-up. Well done young men, well done!
I like Graeme the video man! I hope he and Craigie Boy have more opportunities to be on camera in future. They are the shining stars of this channel 😇💪😎 Congrats on the BBC interview HGP!
The reason I am drawn to your videos is that I like seeing the poor, wee, coos with sore feet getting the help they need to walk comfortably again from such a 'simple' intervention as a pedicure 😊 Such great stories. You clearly enjoy your work, are very knowledgeable, you have a great team (hello Mrs Hoof GP, Craigie Boy and Graeme 2) and face interesting challenges in a beautiful setting. Who would have known hoof trimming was so interesting and important? It's hard, backbreaking work, until now probably unappreciated by everybody except good farmers and large animal vets. You've built the business from nothing. You have earned your good fortune! It's a pleasure to watch you and your team doing well. Your accountant should advise you about the truck. It's a work vehicle so there are legitimate strategies you can use to minimise your tax on work related assets including the timing of new acquisitions. You are also seem to be a worldwide brand. As well as making money from your own merch, brands should be paying you to use their gear - value for money advertising if they stand behind their products' quality. In this fickle world I say, make hay while the sunshines; don't pay for anything unless you have to - but again, talk to your accountant. Good luck 🍀. I'll keep watching you 😊 And...dermatitis. This armchair expert has learned that when the hoof 'looks okay' (as much as you can tell from a 2D image) you are 'hiding' the dermatitis between the toes.
I think people are naturally curious about the processes in animal care, being raised for our consumption, yet most of us have never seen inside those facilities before, or understood the husbandry, or even seen a live cow. Theres the danger factor, big animals, sharp implements. Theres the sweet love for the cows. Theres the skills on show. Theres the compassion and relief we share as the cows are trimmed. Food production has been reduced to a few specialists, instead of every family farm, so to be able to see some of how its done, and know the care shown to the cows is accountable and a relief. The crew and family are so lovely and Graeme has the gift of the gab and a sense of humor. ❤❤❤❤
Ich have nothing to di with agriculture, with cows (besides to eat them). I am and was always a city boy, with a 7-16 office job. I look your videos, because they are informative, have a exelent quality, and they bring me some quet and joy. And they let me think about other things outside my "normal" bubble. Thank your for that all. PS: This comes from Germany^^
Animal husbandry has always been part of my soul.... watching Hoof GP is soothing in many ways... and so educational on a day to day level..... well done !! from USA
So happy for you that you've been so "acknowledged" as far up as radio and television. You deserve it. I'm highly irritated that the psychologist didn’t mention one single time your personality and how relatable you are. There ARE other hoof trimming channels and I don't bother with them 90% of the time. You, your team, and your family are the magic ingredient. Always know that and keep that in mind when you are having a tough day.
Graeme... the one thing Mr. Beattie forgot to mention is the fact you, Craigie boy and Graeme have so much compassion for the animals. You and the crew are what that make the vids so good. For me, someone who likes animals, (even though the cows are sometimes moody and let me know they are ready for some Corn/Oat/Barley/Molasses treats.... because they are spoiled), it is the fact you are so pleased when you guys are able to relieve the pressure and make the cows more comfortable. That is what interests me.
You looked very handsome for your interview. Love watching your videos, have been watching since my husband passed 3 yrs ago and you and Craig have given me many laughs. I read your book and I laughed and cried. It was a wonderful book
I love the storytelling. I started watching out of curiosity and keep coming back because of Graeme's excellent storytelling. My dad's side of the family hails from western North Carolina, and they say there are more people of scottish descent in NC than in Scotland. It's obvious and clear in the culture there, and storytelling was incredibly important in my family. Graeme would fit right in at the dinners and evenings spent round the woodstove on the old farm my dad grew up on.
FYI…Graham is hysterical even though he doesn’t yet know it. I cracked up when he suggested putting a picture of his face on the pickup. Such innocence is priceless. ❤
I used to live in a large farming community, and still visit many of the farmers there since I now know their children, and still help out some when I can spare the time. I never knew much about hoof trimming as I only helped feed cattle, or herd them, so when I find this channel, I was so interested. It was something new to learn, and something else I could talk to the farmers I know. I have lived watching your videos the last almost three years ^^
The reason I love your videos is that it means so much to me how you genuinely want to help the animals in your care. I appreciate that so much. Also, I appreciate anyone who is at the top of their craft, and you are!
I really enjoy your videos, like other veterans who watch I also suffer from PTSD and Depression. Your videos provide a structure that defence personnel are use to, the same systematic approach to hoof trimming I relate to. Thank you for providing me an opportunity to share your life via TH-cam. I hope you visit Tasmania if you come to Australia.
Hello Graham, I am from the states, and I came across your videos on TH-cam and have become addicted. At the end of the day, I look forward to seeing if there is a new video. My husband laughed when he found out that I watch your video. I am a nurse and I see how caring you are to the cows you trim. I just wanted to drop in and say hi and keep on making videos. We live on the eastern coast near Cape Cod and we sail during the summer in Buzzard Bay. Just a bit about me. Thanks again.
I love the videos. Back in the day they would put horses etc down when they went lame. To see how far we've come on being able to help cows and horses etc with their health is amazing and wonderful to see.❤
Wow Graeme just look at what you, your team, and wonderful family have achieved, all the hard work and perseverance are paying off soak it up make the most of it,
I’m a disabled veteran of Iraq & Afghanistan and this channel is so relaxing for me. I don’t get triggered and it’s soothing for my mental health. Thank you! And thank you for taking care of these animals!
Wonderful video. Loved it. I watch Hoof GP for the stress relief from all the horrors going on in the word. Also because I love cows 🥰 ❤Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
I grew up on a cattle property in Queensland Australia but my family left the farm when I was in high school. I think cows are fascinating and I love your videos!!! I have to tell you that the Dutch 5 step method goes through my head every time I’m preparing potatoes and I’m always re-analyzing after every swipe with the peeler watching each satisfying slither being removed!! You’ve made an impact more than you know 😊
I love watching people who love what they do and are good at it. You, your team and your family are just adorable, but nothing makes me happier than to see a cow that is hurting get help. It gives me hope for humanity.
You have such beauty, Mr. GP. Your face, your voice, your humor, your soul. After watching you for years and reading your book, I truly believe you have been set apart by God/the God of the universe-YOU are perfectly YOU. ❤🙏🏻
Keep the truck. Trucks are supposed to have some dents and scratches. 😂 Save your money. I think it’s funny that there are folks out there that don’t understand our love for your videos. I thank Covid because I may have missed the hoof trimmer. Love cows and I love the commitment you put into the care of the cows feet. Got to have happy cows. That and I love the friendship you have with Craig. You both crack me up,
Many states, including Ohio, feel your pain! We've got snow to our knees and negative temps in store for next week! Stay warm, stay safe! Glad Mrs. HGP is okay!
Nice job on the radio show! I know you're surprised that we all love you & what you do, but we do...deal with it 😉 I'm up the The Windmill part of the book 📖
yes new pickup but it needs to be a Chevrolet... I love your videos.. I not sure why. the hoof trimming is interesting but the interaction between you all just makes me smile. thank you for that
I started watching you January of 2020. Your videos saved my sanity during lockdown and I find them satisfying and relaxing. I won’t ever own a cow (I’m a horse person) but I enjoy watching you fix them. Much love from Ohio USA
I love my Ford. Last was a truck 220K miles & never a problem. Current Ford 150K miles 21 years old and no problems - it will outrun a Tesla off the stop line (manual transmission is geared for fun driving). Love the channel, the book and the t-shirt!
I love your videos because I love cows and need to live vicariously through you. I don’t live on a farm nor did I marry a farmer (contemplating my decisions 🤔 😂) and I love that there is someone out in this world that cares so deeply for a farm animal. ❤ all respect to you

Was that a dead calf in the background when you were first talking about the pick-up?.. Love your videos, so informative. Your voice is so calming
i was wondering the same thing!
I was also wondering if that was a dead calf. I understand it's part of life on a farm, but it was still sad. 😢
Love your videos. I know it’s a real life look at life on a farm. Don’t know how I feel about the dead calf. Still sad no matter how you look t it
We also like you, Graeme, and how much you care, and your joking with your partners, and of course Mrs. HGP and the boys. You all are funny and charming and lovely!!!
what a positive interview you came across very confident and such an advocate for cows. The world is a much better place for you x
I really enjoy it when you include Graham, the good looking one behind the camera!! 😊😊
The wrapping is so spot on!😊
I was amused to hear the people in the radion station giving their opinions about why people might enjoy watching your videos.
I LOVE that you upload just as the baby goes to bed so when I check for a cow video there's a new video 5 minutes old ready to go!
Graham ( Cameraman) you need subtitles for his dialect....lol😂😅😂😅
It's true about your Radio interview and what the Phycologist said, your videos are are great stress relief, great for my depression Greame.
They are the shining stars of this channel 😇💪😎
Congrats on the BBC interview HGP!
I hate that Graeme the camera man is always being verbally abused. I think he’s sweet.
I’m in Florida and I have been watching for about a year and trying to see all of the videos. I learn so much watching your videos.
Hi Graeme fyi I watch your channel just because Its nice to see someone enjoying their job and having fun, despite not being a nice job.
Keep your truck... it looks 'loved' AND we love the colors.
Animal husbandry has always been part of my soul.... watching Hoof GP is soothing in many ways... and so educational on a day to day level..... well done !! from USA
0:36 That building in the back looks like a croissant 🥐
I was thinking exactly the same thing 🇦🇺.
😂😂😂😂😂😂it does
It’s gotta be mind boggling when you look at your life and how you got there!!! So great!
Love the video, great interview with BBC radio! You are infectious! Hello from sunny Vancouver Canada!
Omg Graeme backing up with the cows' heads bobbin up and down...I can't 🤣🤣🤣
I was dying when I saw that.
Great job Craig! Make sure Graeme gives you a bonus!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful story on the radio. Something you and your crew / friends/ team mates can be proud of.
Greetings from Friesland, Netherlands
Graeme... the one thing Mr.
Brilliant! You, Ashley, Craig, Graham have come so far. I miss Kev. Hope he's enjoying life. You've only had that pick-up 5 minutes. 😊
LOVE seeing the frost sparkling on the stone wall as you walk along at the beginning.
Great video! Great interview! And so glad to know Ashley is okay! The car can be repaired, but Ashley is irreplaceable. ❤
So I was going to say 1 on the inner hoof because you touched it and she jumped.
Just want to give all the cows hugs.
ALL I CAN SAY IS I LOVED TO WATCH "NORMAL" HOOF TRIMMING & AN ADDED BONUS OF THE RADIO SHOW...GREAT JOB HGP!! 👏
Excellent radio show❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great video ❤ I love the truck it matches the KVK so well. But you could add Graeme's face 😊
To see how far we've come on being able to help cows and horses etc with their health is amazing and wonderful to see.❤
Y’all are so funny, glad I got to see this video. Take care, stay warm and enjoy your coffee
I watch you because I enjoy your storytelling and your knowledge. It also leaves me with happy feeling.🥰
Wow Graeme just look at what you, your team, and wonderful family have achieved, all the hard work and perseverance are paying off soak it up make the most of it,
Graeme the cameraman's eyes are amazing, I'm just saying. Great video! Loved every minute. Gonna buy the book as soon as finances allow.
I was thinking the same thing. Most beautiful blue eyes. Just wish I could understand one word he says! 😅😅😂
I’m a disabled veteran of Iraq & Afghanistan and this channel is so relaxing for me. I don’t get triggered and it’s soothing for my mental health. Thank you! And thank you for taking care of these animals!
Next Tuesday it's supposed to be -24° C here in Nebraska. Aren't you glad you're in beautiful Scotland?? Love ya Graeme and the whole crew!! 💕🕸🕸🐮🐮🕸🕸💕
Wonderful video. Loved it. I watch Hoof GP for the stress relief from all the horrors going on in the word. Also because I love cows 🥰
❤Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
I love cows and Australia! I live in the UK 😊
@ I have lived in the UK for a while. Back here in Sydney I have quite a few UK friends who have made Australia their home
Save your money. I think it’s funny that there are folks out there that don’t understand our love for your videos. I thank Covid because I may have missed the hoof trimmer. Love cows and I love the commitment you put into the care of the cows feet. Got to have happy cows. That and I love the friendship you have with Craig. You both crack me up,
You are just so personable….the guys are funny. Loved the heat gun use😂. Good morning from Australia and keep plugging the book it’s worth it. 🎉
Cheers bro , I really love cheering the radio interview background on the video ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Many states, including Ohio, feel your pain! We've got snow to our knees and negative temps in store for next week! Stay warm, stay safe! Glad Mrs. HGP is okay!
I was so excited to find out that my pastor's granddaughter, who's a college freshman, watches your videos. She was happy to know I watch
Nice job on the radio show! I know you're surprised that we all love you & what you do, but we do...deal with it 😉 I'm up the The Windmill part of the book 📖
yes new pickup but it needs to be a Chevrolet... I love your videos.. I not sure why. the hoof trimming is interesting but the interaction between you all just makes me smile. thank you for that
Not available in Scotland, except as a personal import, and too big for our roads.
❤ all respect to you
Graham Parker you are quite the character I love to watch you I am so glad you are here I always watch before bed and when your families in the videos I love it so much love you and your family are amazing
