    Wiring can be scary but fear not, we have you covered. No matter if you are building a custom bike from scratch or rewiring your rat’s nest wiring harness on your old bike we show the cleanest and simplest way to wire your bike with the Motogadget mUnit. It’s a much simpler process than you may imagine and just a few hand tools are needed.

      And the m-unit costs more than the engine I'm trying to wire.

    Wish J&P would answer the questions in the comments to clear up any confusion and it would complete this tutorial.

    Great video. Will these instructions apply to a 1972 Honda CB350?

    Great video! Wiring up using the FX style ignition switch is great. Can you shed a little light if using the stock ignition switch for a 1967 FLH. Terminal #1 is the switched 12V, can you use Terminal #5 to complete the m-Lock? My ignition switch has 5 terminals, and only two are needed. What its your take on this. Thank you

    Isn’t the negative from the m-unit to battery redundant? Doesn’t it get it’s ground from the frame?

    Liked-Subscribed (burnt wires on Harley FXR Lithium battery fried everything,even tried a lithium reg from Ricks and that fried my stator)...jeez
    Why did you put the 2 tail light wires together???? No need for brake switch??? CONFUSED

    • @lundyracing
      @lundyracing 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The brake light bulb is voltage sensitive. Bikes not equipped with an m-unit have 2 effective power wires. One is key on power, so that your brake light is always illuminated while the power is on. The second wire is switched power, just like a light switch. When you pull the brake lever it’s like turning on a light switch and now you have double the voltage which illuminates the second element in the brake light, making it brighter. This is achieved in the m-unit using a circuit board and (I/o logic?) essentially it’s programmed to send the proper voltage to the tail light to either illuminate the running light or the running light AND the brake light. This wouldn’t work on a bike without an m-unit as you would have only 1 12v circuit and the light would never “see” a difference to illuminate the brake light. I hope this helps.
