Buy good quality second hand if you can't afford new or don't think it's worth the new price. Buy locally made. Especially if you're looking at a couple hundred for something like a leather bag, you'll be able to find a local artisan who makes nice stuff (I'm in the west so salaries are high).
Yeah, I realized this as soon as I saw people doing them live. For Millenials and elder Gen Z we grew up on QVC, HSN, and all those other "buy now" channels.
In the end we all die and nothing goes with you but your soul, if you’re living for the ever after. Superficiality is not life or love sustaining. Meanwhile the manufacturers laugh all the way to the bank and all you’ve got are scuffed shoes and worn out elastic. Reality can be harsh.
I think trends are for simps. I wish more people would just ignore trends and instead, craft their own style. I've had the same kind of style since my mid teens and I'm close to 40 now. I studied fashion design and make some of my own clothes. I have bags that I've had for twenty years, I have a few garments I've had for 15 years and that I'm planning to keep for as long as they are still wearable.
"Remember QVC?" GIRL I work there 😂
Girl how is it?? Do the hosts feel like influencers to you?
I was watching another creator, Hannah Alonzo and she talked about the same thing. How TT has created the modern day advertising. Eye opening.
Yess I’m curious to see how this new level of marketing plays out.

Yes, checking out local markets has been a gold mine.

Most regular people buy luxury only for conspicuous consumption
Actually yes! It’s a slippery slope to debt.
TikTok has changed everything. What do you see for the future of fashion?

Where there’s profit to be the made, consumers become the product. The best way to not get played is to stop playing the game but it’s purposely hard.

Isn’t it funny that Kris Jenner started her career this way and Kylie’s basically a huge reason for people using social media the way we do

It’s a system of scams -
When we all have things in common and it becomes a common
