It's an amazing sculpt and print, but unfortunately falls into the old trap of" just because you can print it in big pieces you shouldn't". How the hell can you paint the base and under the strap etc. It's not like they have to make molds... just separate more parts for the builder/painter. Great channel btw😊

I know my friend that printed this also stated that he couldn’t understand why they made it that way. He wanted to separate the roses at the base too. I guess sometimes, it just is what it is. I'd really like to have one of these. I may have to get with you for his contact info since I don't have facebook anymore. One thing I've found out is not all 3D printer services are equal. I've received some pretty unacceptable 3D prints before, so if you find someone who produces quality prints, it best to stick with them. I don't mind the little bits of sprue that stick out from the prints, but the little potholes that some of them leave are tough to fill. I recently found out that a product called Mr dissolved putty by Mr Hobby fills those little divots in well.
Yes, I’ve seen some shotty stuff from eBay and such posted online. My friend is pretty meticulous and has been doing it for a few years now. He takes pride in his work.
