I remember when it first came out. A beautiful kit cast in that cold cast resin that can be brittle. The price was pretty high then too. It didn't sell too well. PM put them on close out at their huge tent sale they use to have back then. Price was $25.00 each. They had palettes of these.
I remember when producers started making the shift to cold cast porcelain then. I really hated the stuff because it chipped easily and cleaning seams was a pain. I went out of my way to avoid buying anything made with it.
Thanks for a bit of background on this kit and cold cast material. I have a couple cold cast kits ( none assembled yet) and when I did inspect the parts, my senses were confused. The weight was telling me it seems sturdy while my “Spidey senses” were saying “ this is very fragile”. Thanks again for commenting on this piece. 🙏 @mraadesign
@@NotMorganFreeman.I can definitely see where that would be a turn off. I always wondered the reasoning why different materials weren’t used anymore. I’m still wondering why manufacturers quit using vinyl. It’s one of my favorites. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏

I picked up quite a few at the Polar Light garage sale as well. I ended up flipping them on eBay and put a few kids through summer camps 😅
