One of the most underrated Pokemon games of all time! Pokemon Black and White were an absolute masterpiece. People hated it for nothing because they didn't have Pikachu, Rattata or Charmander. Crazy how they didn't want a total surprise and actually be excited because everything was brand new. Shame Game Freak never did it again...
I keep getting comments about the hate Gen 5 got at the time, which is wild to me because I never knew 😨 or at least I don’t remember hearing or reading about it back then. But then again I wasn’t nearly as active online at the time as I am now. I digress… It is crazy to me as well that many people disliked it for not including mons from previous generations. I think it was innovative for Game Freak to do that, but it makes sense as to why they never did it again due to the backlash they received :/
@@johtocutie Yeah that was the main reason why it wasn't received very well. People missed their traditional Pokemon which was absurd. Gamefreak doing things like this was amazing. I hope they will do it again in Gen 10 but I doubt it after what happened...
That B/W Opening is elite.. still got my og copy where I migrated all of my 'mons from Emerald. My og White 2 (JPN) playthrough is still up on my channel decades later. Unova was peak, Hoenn is my favorite region, Unova being second. Saw this vid on my front page at nearly 6am. Dope video and nice bootleg Hilda cosplay lol

I remember playing White for the first time in 2012 (it was on an r4 card that was given to me), it was the first game where i wasn’t familiar with any of the pokémon (except zorua bc the movie). After beating the game, i saved up all my birthday money, christmas money and what other spare change i had, to buy White 2 on my birthday in 2013. It was the first ever game i ever bought for myself and i have so many great memories from taking part in musicals, using the gts, trading and doing quests in the entralink with my friends, join avenue, poke transfer lab with the catching mini game, White tree hollow, the marine tube, Swoobat (which is the best design from Gen 5, fight me idc), Rotation battles, Pokémon fusion, an evil team split between their truths and ideals. The Gen 5 games would have to be my favourite games in the franchise 😌

I would like to think it was with Black or White 2, especially since I remember buying the original 3DS with my own money. Wow, you made a lot of memories + thoroughly enjoyed the game 🥰 I did a lot more in White 2 as well in comparison to Black. I felt like we were able to connect with other fans more with the online features they introduced with B2W2. It was so fun!
I honestly don’t remember anything about Black/White and Black 2/White 2. I definitely remember defeating all the Gym Leaders but never got any further than that, and I don’t remember a single thing about the lore of this gen. If I still had my original DS games, I would definitely replay them again! Also love Hilda’s hair on you!
Pokémon White was my third ever Pokémon Game and it’s the first one where I 100% completed the Pokédex! I had about 350hrs worth of gameplay on my save, it’s only 2nd to my White2 save at almost 400hrs. Gen 5 was my absolute favorite generation growing up, it’s so underrated!!
