Discovered this channel a couple of weeks ago. I even liked it on Facebook. I can honestly say that this is the best channel to learn DJing and trust me I've seen a whole lot of other channels. I'll purchase my 1st course monthend, you guys are so creative, your skills and techniques are on point! Song selection is out of this world. I got an email from Jamie that detailed exactly where I can find songs and playlists. I want to try my hand at Hip Hop next. I just love the remixes you guys have in your Hip Hop sets. @@JM-yd5sl I have a love hate relationship with them in all honestly. The hardware is awesome but I think the Traktor Pro 3 software lets it down a lot, mainly in terms of optimisation. I experience latency issues & audio glitches which I know are not due to my configuration or computers ability to run the software. One thing I will say about Traktor Pro 3 is that has a lot of customisation, you can even mod it, which is what I did. The screens can be made to display the waveform and other information. This should be supported by default imo but its not cause Traktor are lazy.

I might be being dumb but rather than play a couple of tracks that no one knows and have to hack up with effects to sound interesting. Wouldn't it be better to play a track that everyone knows if you were DJing live.
All this messing about with the fx and you forgot to do the most important thing that is beat matching and the track that is mixed in at around 5.20 is not matched properly. It is one thing to not properly check with cueing that the track is properly beatmatched before mixing it in but to not fix it once it's mixed in is poor and shows the DJ has either not noticed or does not know how to fix it. Either way it is poor as there is nothing worse than 2 kick drums offset like this. I think you need to spend more time learning this fundamental basic DJ skill first before using fx and not just rely on the analysis/sync to do it for you. That is what the jog wheels are for.

I don’t need the S4 because I have zero skills; S2 is more for my level. I’d love to win this machine though. A controller is not something I would buy myself anywhere soon, as I’m busy with other stuff and don’t have money to throw away that easily. I quit my job to build own projects, and all effort and money go that way. But I’d love to learn some bedroom DJing, maybe do some backyard gigs and whatnot; I’d spin progressive and deep house, maybe some trance from 2003-2007s.

five minutes before your first mix. that's not techno mixing. 3 mixes in 5 minutes is techno, typically.
