I'm a beginner DJ. And, I watch a lot of videos of other DJ's trying to learn from them. That's how I ended up here at this video. One of the things that I royally dislike is how some DJ's touch buttons and knobs "for show". What I mean by that is, and I think I'm good enough to make the distinction, is that these "DJs" aren't doing anything with a lot of their actions on the mixer/ controller. It's like they feel they can't just stand there and watch the music go by. They have to act as if they are doing something. And I'm like, I can't hear at all or understand at all what these many "micro-adjustments" are. I justed watched one DJ and she cued up a track like a friggin 100 times, while the other song was running, just to look "busy" I guess. I'm not sure why that gets me so riled up, but it does.
Now in this video, pretty much everything carried out, every movement, every press of a button or turn of a knob, makes friggin awesome sense. I can learn from it. So, thank you very much for that and for not being a bullshitter like too many of the self-proclaimed DJs out there!!!

I'm looking forward to the Technics SL 1210 mk7 review and how it mixes real vinyl compared to the old style Technics that was solid
and if you think club's and bars are really going to install them alongside Pioneer nexus players in future from what ( Mickey Finn ) dnb DJ said on a DJ Mag article on their channel, if so should new djs who want to mix on turntables buy them or buy pair of old Technics SL 1210 mk5s cheaper ?.

Hey Crossfader. Would you consider doing a tutorial on how to gain stage Traktor with this console? I’m having trouble setting it up. I don’t really get why if gains are at 0 they are hitting red almost.
I tried tweaking the headroom -3 + also apply to channels, but then i will get a very low signal on master out from the console.
What am i missing? I managed to set it up on a xone 62+audio 10+X1 config but this beats me.

Davide_Nigro_deejay I also mix techo, it should be fine without filter. But I will try it maybe its better idk
@@jonas_kyte ye because the filter can cut the kick completely from the track when sometimes the low EQ cant

@@GisliKarlGislason not tryin hate B just as a techno fan I thought it can be better. they playing only mainstream tracks which is fine don't get me wrong but it's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Genre Like Techno with very wide and versatile styles .

Sigh. I wish I knew what was going on. I'm learning to DJ myself, but I see him messing with knobs and shit and nothing sounds like it's happening, then suddenly we're on a new track without actually sounding like the last one abruptly ended.
You don't only need good DJ knowledge to understand what's going on, you also need a good traktor s4 mk3 tutorial cause that device can do a lot of things normal controllers can't.

How is a 30 min mix an extended mix?
They usually make mixes as long as 15 minutes .

@@Dilinaare honestly I never use it as a cdj or I guess using audio files. I ended up just buying a new pair of technics. I had a hard time getting the tracks to line up right. Would work sometimes but some tracks I had issues with. It’s a great mixer tho and the effects are fun.

Tony Bucks Oh shut up. This mix is plenty creative and he is beatmatching by ear for all of you „purists“ out there. Plus he is acually doing lots of things you couldn‘t accomplish with a turntable and vinyl.
This is like putting a price barrier on skill. You have to have a good amount to buy turntables, and I have seen many DJ's use them and be worse than controllerists, so please stop trying to create like a line between you and them, we are all DJ's. Here in 10 years an ipad and an app may replace all our equipment, then you will really have something to complain about.
