2023's Craziest PS5 Repairs - Compilation - These are the craziest PS5 repairs I attempted in 2023. One was infested with cockroaches, one was sent to Sony but they said it wasn't fixable, and one had a broken fan connector. It's been a fun year for fixing PS5s but these 3 were some of my favorite fixes. Enjoy!

12:36 "NO, WE DON'T 😳" I love watching your repairs man 😄It's a fun adventure of "whoknowswhat" type of repairs awaits and heck sometimes not even Sony or other manufacturers were able to fix, but you find your way. Props for saving tech in whatever way possible. Here's hope that we will see more retro consoles getting saved too! 🤞🏻

@@manithan9532 the thing is, most people that go in to get a repair aren't familiar with the issue, and a lot of the time will downplay their involvement in what happened or their neglect of an issue. That's why you don't trust what thr customer says other than general things about the issue they're having. I repair semis for a living, and you have no idea how often I have to repair things that a customer states "are working"

I had a neighbor tell me he had a problem with Sony and the warranty. He lived in AZ at the time and when his son’s PS4 stopped reading the discs he sent it back to get repaired. They said it had liquid damage and he knew it was false. So he took it to a local repair shop and they showed him very little spots that look like water in the inside. But nothing on the board or anything it was like just 3-4 spots. He also noticed it wasn’t in the same box that he sent it to them in. Turns out that to where they sent the PS4 to get repaired had all their boxes they had improperly stored them so that humidity would be a problem. A lot of the boxes got destroyed while waiting to get repaired. My neighbor is a lawyer and told them he’d file a class action suite if they didn’t fix it and they crumbled. Sticky stuff though is a dead giveaway.

Hi Steve, i watch your channel all the time, especially older teardowns and repairs. I have a question about an xbox one slim. I repaired one for my son for christmas by replacing the hard drive and it was going great for a week, but then it just died, i opened it up and see 4-6 resistor or capacitor s had corrosion around that little area. How can i get the exact parts to replace them like a schematic or parts list. I cleaned them up but still nogo. He's bummed out and id like to fix it again for him. So he can get back on.

This makes me come to a theory that Sony doesn't really want to do much effort into fixing a console, encouraging that customer to buy a brand new one. It was afterall a simple fix by discovering that the fan is mainly the problem other than some cleaning of water damage.

Hi, i have watched a few of your videos, very interstin lloking at these. particularly the one with a bunch of ps5. I was wondering concerning, the ones that freezes few second after starting a game, have you ever find a cure? Because mine just starting degrading quickly, in a matter of a week it went from 1 freeze a day to freezing after 10-20 sec after starting a game. then a tried the orher i have been playing the 1st week without any issues and it did the exact same thing, 29 sec gameplay then freeze. I am clueless and wonder if it worth bring it in to my local repair, because warrenty worned out and 300 dollars to send it back to sony worries me as i have see instances of people receiving back their ps5 with the problem persisting. what should I do? buy a new one 😅?

Are we sure the liquid damage one wasn't because of the fan failure with grease coming out and being flung everywhere?
