im personally biased towards gateway because its my home track and the city of St. Louis really builds it up as a big deal. Racing is so-so but you can tell the people involved truly care about NASCAR
If it doesn't rain at Chicago next year, it will 1000% be an S tier track. also xfinity at daytona but especially talladega is literally peak racing imo so what did I learn from this tier list? I HATE RAIN.
There's also the chance the wet weather has actually helped the Cup Series races instead of hurting it. Hopefully we get the opportunity to see next year
If I were ranking tracks, I'd consider: on track racing, facility, location, lights, multi-groove, history, etc. If we're only considering current on track action, it feels a little too easy. But it does make for a fun video I'd change: S: Homestead, Charlotte, Daytona. A: Atlanta, COTA, & Indy. The rest I just about agree with. Maybe do a video ranking fantasy tracks. Could be Mario Kart, Daytona USA, EA Sports tracks, & the Toecar schedule, etc. Or other tracks NASCAR doesn't go to
I didn't know Sonoma was so disliked, that's one of my favorite tracks! Love it's vibe of a road course in the desert. Easy A-tier for me. Seeing SVG take it to Austin Hill was a grand time and occasionally you see someone get away with wild moves like in 2023 when Chastain passed Lagano on the outside of the hairpin of all places to take 2nd place!
honestly, i dont know why dover is so hated. i’ve been going there for 10 years now and every year its an awesome race. the best thing about dover is that it’s always kind of close together so you can actually hear the echoes of the cars 1-2 miles away
I think Daytona has to be in S. If you think back to every moment and finish it is THE quintessential NASCAR track. Aside from the historical deserved respect of Darlington there is no other track that people think of when they hear the word NASCAR
I don't really understand the point behind the reconfiguration. I went to Google Earth and I marked out the track based on how it looked 20 years ago using the historical imagery. When I clicked off of it to bring back the modern track, the area of the track past start/finish where they dive off the track literally follows the old layout.
@@TravisMSimpson with the next gen car martinsville is worse, texas is worse, gateway is worse, pocono is worse, indianapolis is worse, watkins glen is worse, could argue some others
The COTA disrespect is WILD. It has undoubtedly been the best road course in the next gen era. There hasn’t been a bad all around race with the next gen there yet.
@@Remy142 just because they aren’t passing each other 6 times in a lap like the 2022 finish doesn’t mean it’s “boring”. I always thought that the track would never be good for NASCAR even before the rumors of it being on the 2021 schedule started, but I’ve done a full 180 on that. Compared to every other road course raced with the next gen, COTA has been the only track where they can actually battle for position. I hate saying it but since 2022 Watkins Glen has been the worst overall road course on the schedule (through no fault of the track).

As a person whos been to portland every year for the xfinity race it really is a beautiful location and the racing is awesome there
Even if Cup Bristol Fall 2022 wasn't amazing, the energy I felt while I was there easily makes it my favorite NASCAR track of all time.

you both are criminally underrated
Y’all should do rankings for the regular season races this year once the playoffs start. This is a pretty cool idea from y’all
I'd love to see a video like this, but with various racing series!
I wonder if Mike now thinks it should be in D teir after yesterday race. 😂
I'm gonna agree we do need the absolute abominations of chaos every six or seven weeks, just to remind us
Putting Daytona anywhere below S is a crime XD
Damn, I hate the fact that I just found out about your channel, Kyle. How rude of me. Subscribed!
You got here just in time, I have an upload planned for sometime in the next week! Welcome!
@@WheedMBoise aye let’s gooo. Thanks Kyle!
Y’all are jinxing Darlington, now we’re gonna have a lame race this Playoffs
No now someone is gonna flip
Kansas and Bristol HAVE to be S-Tier. Would put Texas into F and Richmond into D too.

I'm with Mike, put Richmond in F
Yo
phoenix is def not the worst track on the schedule

No way
Imo this is the worst road course in the schedule. I think this is not a track made for nascar, and apart for the 2022 finish, the racing is boring..

COTA is most definitely a B-C rank track. COTA IS MILES BETTER THAN THE CLASH
