- Since disappearing in early January 2021, CallMeCarson has barely said a word. The absolute travesty of a scenario has kept Carson off the internet for 4 months - But recently CallMeCarson made a small appearance on streamer Ludwig's livestream, he has been changing his steam profile to troll, and even posted an Instagram story. Does this mean that he is coming back..?

Yup. I'm still mad at how everyone kept talking about the 'age difference', instead of focusing on the real issue - the power dynamic.
If it was a normal high school couple it would've been fine, it happens all the time in my school, but since Carson has such a high influence he's in a high pedestal, and such he fell hard, he's lifted to such high standards that he couldn't handle.

It wasn't just the one girl and it wasn't just him soliciting pictures from fans but people like to focus on those things. He'd been just a generally shit friend and shit person behind the scenes and lied to those who supported him over and over.
His old mates had no qualms about throwing him under the bus for a reason. They had to for business reasons cause of their contract with the misfits and Ryan P to save their image but i can't imagine it was as hard as people might think

Maybe people are just focused on the fact that 18 is legal adult age, whereas 17 isn’t. Even then, that is pretty shocking that people ignore other creators who have done worse and instead focus on Carson.

Edit: After seeing the REST of the replies, I realized that rational people and liberals dislike James Charles since most people hated him recently. I've also noticed that straight predators always gets away with being predatorial than the gays, James Charles not being cancelled because he's more successful as a beauty TH-camr, and that the people who are defending James aren't "liberals", but far-left. I get that I don't have to be "political" when talking about the gays James Charles and the topic, yet people called me a homophobe and someone told me to "choke on glass" because I made a comment above telling the truth from my own perspective with over 1k likes. Yet from their perspective, they think that I hate gay people because they think me saying "I have nothing against the LGBT community" is an excuse of not caring about the gays, even though I'm NOT a homophobe (evidence below this comment), it's just that I felt so angsty towards the gays when thinking about this situation (excluding rational people apart from that group). To be clear, I was born and raised in a liberal state, and I currently reside in another liberal state. It's not really crazy. They're different types of people from one another, who did different types of things... As well as they're both self employed, no one is forcing them to make or not make content, it's their person choice.

To be honest, I find it kind of disturbing that everyone is shocked he's not talking about the drama and dealing with his problems in private. Like, have we degenerated as a species so bad that mental health is now *required* to be broadcasted on every platform?
Amen. As someone with a handful of mental illnesses, being forced to talk about it in front of millions of people and then possibly harassed for it because my illnesses aren't good enough or whatever would make me more likely to collapse. Depression is one thing, but there's even worse illnesses such as borderline personality disorder, what I have, which is like depression but with the added bonus of impulsive, irrational decisions (among many other things), suicide often being one of those decisions. That internet hate and all of those people knowing about your problems just leads to so many thoughts in your head that you can't control. My thoughts go crazy when I feel like someone in my small friend group thinks I'm not perfect. I can't imagine that being amplified to the extremes that internet fame brings. It's better for their mental health to be private. I am happy Carson is being private about his situation. Wouldn't be surprised if his therapist or a friend said it'd be best to not talk about it online.

Y'know, back in the day it was normal. My uncle (who is now 72) met his ex wife at 22, and funny thing, you won't believe this, she was 15 at the time I kid you not. Never did any damage to anyone, other than having children at a young age, which was also pretty normal, no stigma, and therefore didn't have any social backlash. Therefore the whole concept of being traumatized is how you experience an emotion. You are always busy with what other people think of you, especially at that age, so that would be traumatizing sure, enduring a stigma that is. But in reality it's actually only natural. It's more or less weird for the older guy, or woman, to be interested in a person who most likely have other interests than you. Then it's just purely sexual, or the older person in question probably is a bit younger in the head themselves. For my uncle, I think it went both ways sort of, where she was more mature for her age, and he less. It probably evened out, they were married for 20 years and separated as friends and still come over to dinner sometimes.

I really miss him, he's one of the modern youtubers that has made me laugh a ton, I really hope he gets his mindset on the right position and is getting a good recovering.
