      Legato, pizzicato, staccato, marcato, staccatissimo, spiccato, "sustains", trills, sul ponte, rips, portato (portamento), glissando, crescendo, vibrato, tremolo, arpeggio, ricochet, tie, slur, tenuto, snap pizzicato, muted, arpagado, ostinado, drumrolls, crash, etc. That's all I can remember at this point, though there are likely dozens more I missed or haven't learned the names of yet - mostly violin family subset techniques, such as the various subtypes of pizzicato and such. Listen to examples of each articulation - from percussion and brass to woodwinds and string. Understanding how they relate to the voice, particularly your own, helps you better internalize the information. Enjoy.

    I also use Oceania Choir. I think is wonderful because is fast, easy to use and it sounds very well if you want a powerful choral melody. And it features shouts skyrim-like :D :D.
    And I agree, the libraries who articulate as you play are very intuitive and I like them a lot. I hope they listen to you and they make more libraries like that!
    I use Cubase with Expression Maps with Art Conductor (a library of expression maps) in order to change the articulations. It's not free, but it is very useful and it saves you a lot of time of tweking things.
    Great video -as always!

    The second version has something relaxed and funny enough
    more weight.
    The first version is really bombastic, but to my ears kinda 'shouty'
    .
    Which doesn't mean marcato is a bad thing,
    but more like ... when do you use it?
    .
    Interesting video though and for me its a fun thing to see you
    do these orchestrations not in Cubase but in Fruity Loops :-)
    Wouldn't have guessed that.
    .
    thumbs up from me .

    Is there a way to save midi CC assignation in kontakt so if we open a new kontakt instance and load an instrument, it remember the midi CC# assignation so we dont have to setup brso articulate each time (even if we can save presets on brso...)

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess, if you set up the CCs and then saved the patch, it would keep the new CC information memorized next time you open it.
      However, CC#1 (Mod. Wheel), CC#11 (Expression) and CC#7 (Volume) are usually set by default on every professional kontakt library.

    Hi Alex, thank you for the tutorial. I have a question in regard to BRSO. Which version of the plugin do you use? I tried installing both 1.08 and 1.07, but encounter problems as Plugin Manager does not want to let BRSO in. Have you had similiar difficulties?

    • @AlexMoukala

      Did you install it using the actual setup file, or did you just copy paste the .dll in the plugins folder?

    isn't it becoming a different melody from when you first started the melody(sustained notes) to when you make it faster with stacatto + marcato ?
    Essentially

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, it's the same melody, but it doesn't come through as much by using sustains only.
      The rhythm changes slightly by uisng sustain, and so does the intensity of the notes, making the different accents in the melody way less noticeable and the melody way less effective.

    • @AlexMoukala

    th-cam.com/video/B4RBNYJW-ds/w-d-xo.html in this video I asked you about my problem with kontakt (100% disk red ) you said to me that it could be SSD/HDD/DFD ( I don't know what's the DFD btw ) in brief I figured out that my laptop has no SSD ... for more details this is my computer : ASUS X550VX i5-6300HQ, up to 3.2GHz, 8GB of ram (DDR4, 2133MHz) , Nvidivia Geforce 950M (2GB of memory DDR5)
    So there is no SSD, is this the problem ?

    • @AlexMoukala
      @AlexMoukala  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      DFD patches are Kontakt Patches that stream the samples from the hard drive /SSD Drive, rather than loading them into the RAM when you open the patch and streaming the samples from there. If you're not using DFD Patches, try to get in touch wtih Native Instruments on their support forums as I'm not sure what's causing the issue here. They should reply to you :)
