I’m normally a one blade guy, but this is really a nice (and useful) pattern. I really like how they nestled the blades so the knife is slightly thinner. That tube and pin may be just enough to put me over the top on one of these!
Good looking pocket knife and it is made in the USA, there are plenty of quality pocket knives being made in China and Spain... worldwide. It makes me smile to know that some young person in this country is learning metalwork, machining and craftsmanship. Fun channel, liked and subscribed
Gorgeous knife. I live in PA, southeastern area just north of philly, hopefully we'll make it to Titusville for a factory visit. In our area, we are train heavy, my pop is a buff, me to a lesser extent. In Lancaster County, hour or so from here, there's Strasburg Railroad, it's a cool place. In our area, we have Newhope/Ivyland Railroad also, both have train rides with these old engines. My pop, grew up in Philly, we did too, he recalls Baldwin Locomotive being built on Erie Ave in north Philly. This knife is very similar to my #54 big jack.
It’s a Friedrich Hartkopf Knife. And the Rostfrei just means Rust Free in English. (Stainless Steel). They / The Company started around 1890. You got a good one from Messer. My Grandparents on my Dads Side were German. So when I was little and growing up my Grandmother Spoke it Fluidly. And That was great that Kent Smith sent you that GEC 32, it’s a neat looking pattern Michael. And still loving that Patina buddy !!!! ❤️👍.
@@richterknives ain’t no worries !!! I was just letting you know. All I know is both those knifes are sweet !!!! And I will never get enough of Goose’s Patina !!! ❤️🥳👍
I picked this one up in the Northfield jigged cattle bone. It’s my first GEC and it’s an awesome knife. And you are right it seems to be the least popular model. Great review!
Very sexy. I don't own a GEC...yet. 😉 I like knives with a big enough blade that you can pinch open. I don't have any nails either. My favorites are the Copperlock and Canoe. Awesome video my good man.😊
It's a cool knife - I can't understand why the net is unusually quiet about this new pattern. I went for the Hemlock Jigged Bone version, but your Cocobolo was my second choice (couldn't afford both). Dead right about GEC - who needs anything else?
It takes a bit of research. Go to the website and look at the dealer list. Then contact the dealers you prefer or search their website for details on upcoming releases. Sign up for email lists….but I’ll be honest with you. I only have one GEC I’ve bought brand new. I’d rather search the secondary and find deals or the knife I’m looking for. The Facebook groups in my opinion are the best place to buy one.
That is a REALLY good looking knife! Love that tube artwork, too! I've been on that GEC Abstinence Program for a minute now, but damn dude these 32s and those new 81s (you seen that Red Linen Micarta Bull Boss Carver?? Good Lorttttt!!! 🔥🔥🔥) have got me wanting to jump back in the game! Richter Engage Mode: TH-cam Version hahaha! What I love most about these 32s is that swell center silhouette. That's the highlight of the knife for me. I think you nailed it when you said that it has "the lines of a muscle car"...YES!...that's exactly it dude!! I know the 32 is a new pattern, but it's REALLY close to that 34 Camel Back Congress pattern that I have with that last BladeForums knife. That knife's a touch smaller at 3 3/4" and has a wharncliffe main blade, but it's got that same amazing Swell Center "point" to the frame like this 32. From the little bit I've read and watched, I think the main Pointing & Griping about these 32s is that the action on the main blade is a bit soft and mushy. But if you're giving this knife the Richter Seal of Approval, I just might have to reconsider lol. It certainly has All The Things, right?! As you so eloquently stated, it's got that Old World look to it. Like, did this knife come out in 2024 or 1924?! World's Fair indeed!!! This Cocobolo looks awesome, but the one I've had my eye on is that Hemlock Bone version. That thing's Drip!! Nobody captures the essence of GECs, or the feeling that they give you better than you do, Richter, so thanks for showing this one, bro!!! You highlight the significance of the tube art, where the liners terminate, the beautiful Old World craftmanship etc instead of Proud Tips and Blade Rap!! 🤣🤣🤣. Great video, Brother!!! 💥💫🔥
Sweet looking knife. You folks have a wonderful week.
Same to you 👊😎

Anyway love that dang 32 pattern from what I’ve seen they knocked it out of the park
My boy! You and Erica got here seconds after I posted 🤣

I’m with ya i love that clip with that swedge on it man. Gorgeous grain as well. Sweet knife brother!! 👊
I got a 32 in blue and really like it. I’d been looking for a 2 blade knife on one spring and this is it! Nicest knife I own.
I love the look of the blue one too
I love the 32. I got the Blue agate one. The pen blade snaps hard. Makes up for the less snappy main blade. It's a perfect edc.
That’s a good looking knife. There aren’t many folks drooling over the blue ESPL but I dig it. I agree with ya on the 32

Got a 32 hemlock arriving tomorrow!
Sweeeeet
Same exact clip point as the 78
That’s what I hear 👊
Hartkopf is a great brand. Still made in a small building with the same 100 year old machines.
I can tell ya they make a good knife

How does one even go about acquiring a GEC. I can't seem to find anything that isn't secondary market.

The wood and the stag
