Absolutely love how short stack toms sound and feel. I have the Tama starclassic bb hyperdrive and would never go back to traditional sized deeper toms. He has 6 inch depth on all his rack toms which is superrrrr shallow. The hyperdrive sizes are 10x6.5, 12x7 which are perfect for me. Still enough body but has that quick responsive tone with the crazy good attack and still has just as much volume.
I heard a Pearl Kit the other day that sounded strangely good…the Toms blew me away and sounded like a high end Jazz kit. Didn’t expect that from Pearl.
@@charlesfranklin3533 Yes, that's why they spend almost 40 years to realize the omni ball tom system and the traditional suspension mount are the best options since always 😅
About the triggers that you see there: first of all I only see triggers on the snares, that means that Brian uses them because, as he explains, Cristina has so many different styles that he needs almost a new different snare sound for every each song.. It's impossible to have a closer recording snare different sound for each song, just if he changed for a different snare every song he played at the show.. So before you make comments you must understand and learn before writing.. Brian is great.
Um, see those little red squares on the edge of the snares? Those are triggers. That means that the crowd is not hearing TAMA drums. They're hearing a pre-programed FAKE drum tone.
they are better than most in that genre and they seem to give their drummers a lot of freedom so i can see why he plays with them, but you sure find better musicians to play with in other genres more frequently

Love his set up when he was with tama
Brian's new signature snare is BEASTLY!!!!
This rack set-up change the world 4:40- 5:37
great chops and sweet set up!
When I want be Brian when I "grow up"..LoL..well.."Briana"...and talk about a sick kit!
I don't understand why he leaved Tama. His sound was so amazing on this tour, Pearl is not even close to this audio and quality
Better deal....it´s all a matter of $$ and conditions....
tama is the best. Even on a terrible quality video these drums sound so good man

I'm Sorry Lucas I Like Tama Drum's But Pearl is in a Class Of Their Own. Sorry Bro.

My number one drummer
Sweet kit! I wish I had picked similar tom sizes as Brian. Stupid obsession with Mike Portnoy's kit when I was younger lol.
Well he did say he triggers it a lot.
If he's triggering it during a show then it doesn't really need to be tuned if he's triggering exclusively.
Great but most of all functional kit. That makes it outstanding above the other ''over-the top'' kits.
Wow When Did He Leave Pearl Drums???
Yea I see what your saying but Tony does have some churchy chops now.....lol!
WOW he's awesome

Devon taylor brought me here
this guy and my dad was playing together at a shed and erick tribbet was there too so was jerzey it was hot
Crazy...
ye i know what you are saying!
anyone has this snare?.,..
Oh man that thing is sooo nice, deep, poppy, crack, what eva you want it does it, too bad its $700 though ahah
But sometimes it's appropiate for some songs...If you go into a professional studio playing a 10" snare on a ballad you won't get good reviews...
you know all the best drummers came from the churchs... no way
