Well (being an electrical engineer), my only comment is they used the same deteriorated oxidized lead plates (visual holes-missing lead on plates) without adding more lead to them to make them new weighted plates again. Yes battery will read 13.8 VDC when charged...but if it's CCA was 900....probably will fall to 650CCA with all that missing lead form the plates. Battery and plates will run hotter and degrade faster with the missing plate lead. Temporary fix to get the truck down the road another year....battery will keep coming back for repair quicker and quicker...until new lead is added to each individual plate.
They don't need the coldstart current I guess :-D
