I always enjoy your outings to ikea🤗🤗🤗 I have a great tip : At my ikea store………..check your store too to see if they have this section…….. If you do find some goodies in the as is section……..go to the returns area and in a room just behind the registers they have lots of bins with fittings……Screws.Knobs.nails……..usually all the hardware extras……..so if you purchase an item and for whatever reason the hardware pieces were short in count…..or missing …………so If you buy an as is item and it needs a few screws etc…….go ask at that section.🥰
I am so glad i checked the as-is section when i went because that was when they didn't have any alex drawers. But they have a match for my other drawers i have already but it was down there because it's being discontinued. And it was half off!
Some very good tips for IKEA shopping. My store has never had what I want….for several years and the store is over an hour away so I have given up. I have purchased a few things for my room and do like their things but since I don’t go often I have to look elsewhere. Or in my case just deal with what I have and make the most of it. Blessings Elisa
I know the supply chain has been hit really hard the past couple of years. I am glad you are finding other alternatives that are working for you though!
The cabinet doors or leftover shelves are wonderful if you like to put words or graphics on them (cut out with your Cricut or other machine)--- also that tray you bought, even at full price, you can customize with vinyl to fit the season or theme of a gift, etc - I
Elisa, I have to tell you, the more trips you make to Ikea, the more I want this pandemic to be OVER so Mama & I can go & be safe!!! We've been a few times this year, but only to use their Click & Collect service. :( Our closest Ikea is over 2 hours from us, so we don't go often even without a pandemic. But I love to walk through & see what's what. Hopefully, next time we get to go inside, we can check out the As-is section. Thank you for sharing these tips. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
Mom and I are headed to Ikea today. Going to have to look for that tray. My Husband and I like to eat in front of the T.V. and I've been wanting a tray like that. Even at $10.00.

As is section is usually my 2nd stop when I go to ikea (coffee first, must always have coffee first 🤣) Love a good find!
Yes, first drink the coffee, then do the things!

Great ideas!
I knew that tray was following you home...I heard it calling to you. ;-)
I was thinking the same thing!

I hope you get to go again soon as well! The As-Is section is almost always full of treasures!
do these as is items still carry the original warranty? like kitchen cabinets have 25 years warranty when bought new.
I am guessing no. The "as-is" indicates that you are accepting it exactly how it is.

It would work great for that for sure! I hope you were able to snag one.
