Made this twice, and my family loves it. I have to bake it a bit longer than 30 minutes to get it to cook all the way through the center, but otherwise followed the recipe as written. Thank you!
I made it again with 5 table spoon of extra flour fresh yeast. The rest of the ingredients as shown using my mixer. I also added 5 min more to the time but it was still not cooked in the middle. I am so surprised I make cinnamon rolls and no problem and white bread with no problem. I have never had a dough not cook in the center. Thank you again for sharing your recipe.
Thank you !, my kids and wife have been asking me to make that bread for a while , I am definitely using your recipe. Since I do not have raisins handy, I am using dried cranberries .
I love how simple this recipe is. And even though I have only been successful with it turning out for me once ( not rising ) I say it was delicious. So I will try again Thank you for sharing
I learned to make bread by watching youtube and I wasted a lot of flour and other ingredients before I perfected this bread. Keep trying and eventually it will turn out perfect. Just make sure the yeast is not expired and water or milk is lukewarm. Thank you for watching!!
Hello! Out of all the videos for Raisin Bread, yours is the one that I will try to replicate very soon. I've been getting better at Bread making ( About 10 months of practice now ) & my mother loves Raisin Bread. So if I could make one like yours, I would be very happy & so would she, I'm pretty sure. Thank you & be well & safe. From Montreal, Quebec, Canada. ♥
I am making this right now and followed your video and added 1/2 cup of sugar, but I seen in the comments that it calls for a 1/4 cup of sugar..I also use yeast that you have to activate ,so I used the milk and a tsp of sugar out of the 1/2 cup to activate it with the milk being Luke warm.. I will let you know how it came out once it's done..
How long should dough be kneaded, please..Can the ingredients like egg, sugar, yeast be mixed by hand instead of electric mixer (with paddle attachment which i dont have)? Please consider including metric measurements. Thank you.
Oh yes you can do the kneading by hand, like longer though ...about 8 to 10 mins. If using the machine, it only took me 3 to 4 mins. One thing u have to do it though is make sure milk or water is lukewarm. The dough comes out sticky, that is normal, do not add more flour. Sorry I dnt do by metrics
Thank you for sharing looks delicious will certainly do it soon .My question is do the raisins have to be soaked first or it doesn’t matter .thanks again
Hi! I just found your recipe/video and I'm so excited to make this! I've seen alot of videos on cinnamon raisin bread and no e of them were quite what I was looking for, although I gave a few of them a try. Your's is so much Ike the one my mom used to make! Definitely going to give this try! Thank you so much for sharing your video tutorial and recipe!!!
Looks amazing, one question though you added milk in your recipe on the video. But your recipe on the description box says water. I want to make it tomorrow, I need to know if it can be either one. Thanks.
Oh sorry, should be milk but you can also use water :). Thanks for letting me know of my mistake. Thanks for stopping by Llaviluz, let me know hows you bread tomorrow :) :)
Hi Gary, i have not tried these replacement but it works to other. Replace 1 egg to 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tbsp vinegar. Also, replace 1 egg to1/4 cup mashed banana OR applesauce. Do not add more it can create rubbery texture. I hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by :)
If you do it by hand, 4 to 6 mins, but if you are using stand mixer, it will only take 3 mins. Once done in the mixer, no need to knead after, have it rise right away :)
I tried this recipe, very simple, but the dough did not rise, plus when I baked it the center was uncooked. The dough was very sticky and my question to this nice lady is why didn't you mix it in the mixer?
Why did I not mix the cinnamon powder, is this question? you can mix it with everything if you prefer that way, it would be ok. You can add more flour, 1 tbsp at the time if you find it very sticky but to tell you the truth, dough being sticky is what makes the bread soft, not too sticky though :) Add few minutes more to bake, if you think it's not yet ready, everyone's oven is different. The reason I also do not add the yeast with dry ingredients and do it separately with water or milk, is to make sure the yeast rise or make a foam before adding with the dry ingredients. I hope this helps. Thank you :)
Mary Burrola, Oh no sorry to hear that. Make sure milk is lukewarm not hot. Also check that the yeast is not expired. It took me probably 3 try before I perfected this bread so keep trying :). Goodluck :)

Every oven is different, that may be the reason why it was not cooked in the middle, adding more baking time will help.
I am making this now. It is setting for 20 min. So ready to try it!
Made it today and it came out perfect. Great recipe. Thanks ❤

Thank you Suz, you made my day haha
I don't have quick rise yeast can I do the same
You can use regular yeast, like active dry yeast and instant dry yeast.
Can I ask you how big is the rolled out dough?? 10x10 or 8x10 inches
8x10 inches :)
Is there a replacement for the egg? I am a vegiterian! Saroja Bhashyam

How long did you knead on floured surface?
If you do it by hand, 4 to 6 mins, but if you are using stand mixer, it will only take 3 mins. Once done in the mixer, no need to knead after, have it rise right away :)
@@oniemix3946 Thank you Onie!. I'm trying this today or tomorrow/😋

I made the recipe and I think my milk was too hot. My bread didn’t rise :(

My dough was goo, similar to yours, so I saw no point in kneading and declined. If it fails I won't blame it on you.
It was very good indeed. Thanks for the recipe.
Please do a video without the annoying loud music
My apologies, one of few videos I made when I was still learning, now I know how to control the volume. Thanks for watching 🙂
