Great video, what was interesting to me was hearing someone who lived when the 2000s albums were released, a veteran.
I was born in 1994 so I wasn't here during Iron Maiden's golden age, so, when I discovered them in 2008. I listened to them from other perspective,
for example, I'll rank factor X higher than virtual XI and no prayer. call me nuts, but it has sign of the cross, man of the edge, 2 AM, lord of the flies and fortunes or war. Great songs for me.
I'll put A matter of life and death high up, probably just beneath the 80s stuff, I loved the lyrics, especially in songs like Brighter than a thousand suns with all the stuff about the morality in creating the atomic bomb, and in other songs like these colors don't run, the longest day, the legacy and for the greater good of god. Masterpiece for me.
I'll put Seventh Son and somewhere in time before killers, but in the rest I agree.

Nice list! I can't comment on anything after Brave new world but you pretty much nailed it, apart from Powerslave being too low on the list.

So... Di Anno , Dickinson , Bayley...
I prefer the Dickinson years myself, Somewhere in Time / Beast / Seventh Son / Piece of Mind, absolute monster albums... Powerslave, like yourself ... not so much. Very overrated.
The Final Frontier is an absolute disaster, just below No Prayer. And after the initial excitement, Book of Souls is a bit boring. Souls could have done away with some fillers and released as a single album.
I actually loved the Bayley years. Dark, brooding, different. And of course, the first two albums were astonishing.
In the end, I love them all, and like Sabbath, the three periods of Maiden, canot be grouped into one list (always in my opinion).
Excellent video though. Thanks for your thoughts!!!

Well ... "The Final Frontier" is my favorite album, probably with "Somewhere in Times".

The longest day Is my most hated Maiden track. Not the worst, but the most disappointing. It has one of my favorite Maiden intros ever and then is followed by a boring campy song with draggy shit choruses that go on and on and on..

I think it is an issue with most tracks from post 2000 with regards to Maiden. They could shorten the albums and retain the best parts and make each listen a much more pleasant one.

@@IronHordeMetalTalk Yeah That's definitely true, however this song had so much potential with that intro and then it goes into this happy campy choruses that sound very plain and boring
