I have owned a cm400t for about 8 years. My wife’s grandfather bought it new in 1979 and gave it to me before he died. I always wanted to do a cafe racer but didn’t want to cut this bike up. So I bought a second cm400 that need work. I’m excited to watch this series.

That cafe racer seat goes really nice with the brown colour of the bike 👌

Hi Tim, Just curious, were you able to find that seat online? Great job so far. Look forward to more updates.

I have a 79 bobber build and an 80 cafe. The 80 isn't registerable but has a healthy kick start engine. Do you know a good website to get very minimal wiring to put it in the bobber?

    Hi Tim
I've just invested in a CM400E with a view to building a cafe racer. I have read elsewhere that removing the air box and fitting pods can be problematic for the engine. Just wondering what length of velocity pipe you used to get yours running and query whether you increased the jet sizes (if so to what) over stock.
Would really appreciate any info on this please.
    Regards
    Shaun

    You mean 12,627 miles,
    Not 1,200 miles.
