For the first time since her return to LAX in July of 2021 the Emirates Airbus A380 made a south side departure on runway 25L at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Sunday, November 21st, 2021. Needless to say Kevin (Host of Airline Videos Live) was very shocked by what was unfolding live on the broadcast.

The A380 first officer was watching AIRLINE VIDEOS, and was like “hey lets give them a show today”

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! I missed this Live yesterday so thank you for uploading it here!!! So rare to have a 25L departure, I hope it becomes a regular occurrence. Kevin your enthusiasm for and love of what you do is unmatched: I could hear it in your voice. The wingspan of the A380 must have hovered over the fence at the Imperial Terminal parking lot as the A380 wingspan is longer than the 747. The 747 wingspan almost eclipses the fence line while taxiing East down Alpha. Prior to 911 you were able to drive your car (or bike) to the fence line and plane spot. The taxiing engines were so loud you had to cover your ears to protect your hearing.
Yeah. Those wings are HUGE.

Damn. This is pretty an amazing moment for you, Kevin. That was the second time for the A380 taking off on 25L at LAX because it has takeoff on the south side before on 8 or 9th July 2021.
We are airport ops not follow me cars. We don’t have those at LAX.

One of the reason why a A380 will depart on the south is because it’s a Full plane and then it will go South and another reason is reverse ops at LAX

The very first time I witnessed an Emerites A-380 departing LAX was from 25L while standing from Imperial Hill. This was back in February 2014.
