I'm having a problem with the pressure on my presser foot. It is too light and my seam line is wonky. I cannot create an accurate quarter inch seam. Is there a way to adjust this?

How do I adjust my machine to quilt? It sews fine but the bottom thread gets messed up when quilting
How thick is that quilt? with an increase in sewing thickness, the thread should have less tension, both threads. How your sewing machine behaves when you sew classic fabric, check how the seam looks in that case, whether the loop is in the middle...

This sewing machine uses standard needles for home sewing machines 130/705H, with the new machine you will get several needles with a thickness of 11/75, 14/90, 16/100. Standard home sewing machine needles are readily available for purchase and are not expensive.

Do you have to oil it?
There is a lot of controversy when it comes to lubricating new models of sewing machines, these are all sewing machines that have a plastic "armor" on them. In the instructions, it is often written that lubrication is not necessary or that only the rotating hook and needle bar are lubricated.
You oil what you can, oiling the machine can't do any harm, I usually remove the complete armor and oil the machine inside, it's not difficult, but I still don't recommend it to amateurs.
@@MasinskiKutak thank you. I just bought the brother cs7205 yesterday. Don't know how to oil it. Im still reading the book. It sure isn't like my baby lock companion that's probably it least 50 years old and still works great.
@@lindatonkin3802 If you bought a new machine, you don't need to think about it for a long time, only when the machine starts making an ugly "metallic sound" should it be lubricated by an experienced sewing machine service technician. Looking at the user manual, lubrication is not provided, this is usually the case with newer models of home sewing machines.

The needle won’t slide up, the needle won’t go up to the stop part it keeps falling out!

OK, I understand what you mean, hemming jeans can be problematic, especially for beginners, when hemming jeans, you need to reduce all thickenings as much as possible with scissors, if you have this machine model, you can try it, on transitions over the thickening, gently move the machine by hand, you will not be able to go over thickening only so quickly, in the worst case you can break the needle. When the presser foot reaches the thick part and starts sewing over, lift the presser foot and behind the needle place something under the presser foot that will level the level with the thickened part.
I should make a video on this topic, it seems to be a problem for a lot of people.
@@MasinskiKutak Thank you for your help; you truly helped me make my final decision. I'll take the heavy-duty brother instead because I will be sewing thick fabrics on a daily basis, and this machine won't be able to handle it. I wanted to buy this one because of all the different stitch features it has.
And what is the Brother heavy-duty sewing machine, does it have a number or is it just called "Brother heavy-duty"??
