I traded in my 19 raptor for a 24 tremor. I'm having a lot more fun with the 5.0 tremor. The twin turbo always bothered me in the raptor and I'm not buying a raptor r anytime soon... also like 90% of people that own raptors I'm not desert running them lol. Tremor is much more practical imo. nice video!
And in 4 months it'll be on auction for repo done did. Now, go USE the truck the way it was made to do. If you don't, you have a small pew pew syndrome.
Looks like a well equipped truck with a lot of added features. I don't know why the manufacturers try to cut corners by leaving off the rear wheel well covers.
I’ve had a 3.5 raptor and now a tremor with the same engine. Pulled a travel trailer with both! Not one problem with either. If you want a 5.0 get a Mustang gt with a 6 speed trans.
Bought a 22 anti matter blue tremor high option minus sunroof for a great price last month. Had a whole 4k miles on it. Was my exact spec I wanted. Waited 2 years cause I couldn’t do 70k+ Basically got 20k off. She’s a keeper. Very impressed. Had a moment of weakness and almost bought a new Rebel. Funny thing is I traded my wife’s SUV. Now she won’t give the keys up. 1 car payment house here and so I can’t argue. Still have my fun car and a beater so cheers
Just got a 5.0 recently and not a huge fan, you have to really get into the throttle to get it to move even from a stop with no load. Drove a tremor with the 3.5 and it has way more low end torque without effort. 5.0 sounds better but that's low on the priority list. I'm also averaging 13mpg in the city 😪😪🤣.The tremor suspension is dialed, eats bumps, and feels planted. The Fx4 suspension is bouncy and very un-car like through low speed corners and bumps, although highway driving on Fx4 feels amazing and stable.
I just bought a ranger raptor with the 3.0 tt and had the ford tune installed. The torque is amazing with these engines and the fox suspension makes it ride great.
A loaded XLT specced out the way i want is within 1k C$ of a 401a Tremor. I also lift a truck and put aggressive at tires on.....which the Tremor already does. Its a no brainer for me if i buy another F150 to go the Tremor route. If....
You tested both the V8 and V6 twin turbo engines. You prefer the V8! Was it because of the sound and rumble or was it pure performance? I know the toque is not as great as the V6.
Tail gate is perfect for accessing fridge I was thinking. For me I would like that as long as it works with a canopy camper like a GFC, Alucab or RSI Smartcap.
2:16 Seems like it would have been more practical if Ford had used the same design as the Honda Ridgeline. The tailgate tailgate should fully swing up.
If you are buying a pickup to go some places that you shouldnt go then just buy a regular pickup and do some modifications and it will cost you alot less, unless you like giving your money away.
I prefer Ram's split tailgate. I get what Ford was going for with their implementation, being able to better access the bed while being hooked up to a trailer, but realistically idk how often that is actually an issue. I'd much rather be able to open the whole thing than just a small section in the center. More than anything though, i would prefer the a simple, cheap, and light-weight tailgate like on every truck before like 2010.
I would have to disagree. The 5.0 is rated for BETTER fuel economy than the 3.5. The 5.0 is rated at 24mpg on the Hwy, the 3.5 is 23mpg. I have verified the 5.0 mpg with a 2200mile trip from IN to FLA and back. 5.0 4x4 SuperCrew with 3 people and a bed full of stuff, averaging 75 on the highway running AC the whole way. We got a verified at the pump 24.3mpg for the entire trip. In the mountains and at altitude, yes the 3.5EB will be better, but for most of the US, the 5.0 will get better HWY mpg.
Sure is sad where we are in this country $79,000 for a half ton pickup. You can buy a brand new Ford F-350 nicely equipped for $65,000 full four-door with a hell of a lot more towing capacity
Ford should bring back the 2.7 Ecoboost Lariat F-150s with the chrome bumpers. Old school pickup truck style! If you need all that other BS, turn to the aftermarket.....
Man, I can’t get over that new front end design… it’s not my style. It has grown on me a little, but I wish they would’ve made the Tremor front end look more like the Lariat or Platinum rather than the XLT/STX.
Rather than comparing the Tremor to the Raptor, I’d like to see a Tremor comparison to like an XLT with similar options. I feel the Tremor is a slightly beefed up XLT. The Raptor is so much more exotic in it’s design, so for similar pricing give me the Raptor all day.
I just bought a 24 Rebel with a V8. They had a 15% rebate back in Oct so my 72K truck was 20K off. Feel like I got way more truck then this Tremor, even though it has a couple of adds like a sunroof...
Dude. Can you take these on little better test drive than out the exit, round the corner and back in the same lot? Great channel and a long time watcher but these "drives" are too short.
Ben, just curious what you thought about the handling? I have a 2018 F150 Platinum as well as a 2023 Bronco Badlands. I want a F150 that handles like the Bronco! My F150 sways back and forth a lot in town driving.
@AlexAlex-gs1xh I make $125,000/year and there is absolutely no way you can justify the prices on these trucks. You are the kind of people making prices like this when they should be no where over $60k for top of the line trucks.
Tailgate is NOT gimmicky.!!! If you ever had to grab something that slid too far back while Tailgate is opened you would appreciate how convenient that barn-style door is...come on now
I absolutely hate the stance on these tremors. Rear suspension is way too high compared to the front. Tires way undersized too. Same interior layout and plastics as an XLT. Shame on ford and their junky cheap leather.

You can do more with 5.0 supercharged it, then you will get 700+ hp
Yeah, but can the truck mechanically handle that additional power without costing you a fortune in a few thousands miles of having fun…
“Poor man’s raptor” 😂 these trucks are very expensive …
Then get your money up a raptor is 140k this is nothing 80k is too cheap.

I love that Ford Dark blue color. Simply LOVE that color.
I wish I could afford a poor man’s raptor, ridiculous
These hybrid trucks are great. Fast and fuel efficient. Rides like a car. Love it. Guess we’ll see how reliable they are as they age.
Ben! Will be very happy if you ever reviewed an F150 platinum

5.0 for sure. Not really a fan of the new tailgate but families for camping that have an rv on hitch or alot in the bed it makes sense
I wish you could delete the new tailgate on the higher trim. I prefer the step option.

Maybe review the Poor Man's Tremor? The Ford F-150 STX FX4.
It's basically last year's Rattler package.
No keypad for this one?
I have this truck and I freaking love it
The 3.5 has improved not become less reliable. Most of the major issues were resolved after 2020. It's a great engine.
Tremor F150 was 55k when it first came out and now you can't find one under 70k... just crazy.

Cool truck & color but way too expensive..Plus quality is not job one n e more since they’re number one in recalls.
Not a fan of the gold trim and should come with a bed liner. GM's multifunction tailgate is gimmicky.
That trim makes this truck imo
For the price of trucks today, they should all come with a spray bed liner.
@ I do agree. That is almost as crazy as a civic costing almost 50k
Don’t like that tailgate. Stick to regular tailgate
More like upper middle class man's Raptor.
