The most accurately liberal line I've ever heard in a song " I love Blacks and gays and Latinos, so long as they don't move next door" 😭😭 ahhhh white saviorism at its best lol
Oh man. They're both showing their age. And making me feel old at the same time. But that's ok, because there hasn't been anything in recent memory that could take their places.
A better description is, he's criticizing people who care more about calling themselves "liberal" than standing for what that is supposed to mean. Tolerating use of torture when a Democrat is in office and only opposing it when a Republican is in office, is an example of that. He is against the entire two party, Rep vs Dem system; not really anti liberal or anti conservative. A person can be liberal without voting Democrat, or defending the bad choices of Democrats in office.
@Verminshow As in my book, I make it a point to look, at the fact, that not only do emerging things, require the correctly stimulating-incubation factors, yet also thatsuch can be found, in potentially profoud(not to brag, yet to point out lineages of conscious impact, in one light or another), is that not only do you not need to be in, or even fukkin' run for office, to care enough to originate affective ideas,
@Verminshow The doing away with. Evolving past such. Anyways, I was just in a really good mood right now, and since I'm online, I decided I'd spit this, potentialy utterly rhetorical shit, that is really old news to me, yet always feels good, to rehash on. Jello
@ReachDeep1 So, where did you come up with this idea that the USA has the second highest corporate taxes in the world? WHERE did you find this? Apparently a big chunk of the corporate sector pays NO taxes, which makes your statement completely wrong.
@ReachDeep1 "Second highest corporate tax in the world?" If that's the case, why didn't GE, Exxon/Mobil, Bank of America, Chevron, Boeing or Goldman Sachs pay ANY taxes last year? sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/news/?id=67562604-8280-4d56-8af4-a27f59d70de5
@Verminshow Tho as jello's tale prooves. You DON'T have to inject, corrupt, and otherwise fukking utterly trash yourself, with the politcal tycoon, incorperated fraternity initiation, in order to achieve even serious political significance, as to account, for striking the realization, not just in self, yet others, that, yes. It's politically significant, just as 2012 dooms day incorperated is suggested to be significant to us. The end, of something.
Funny thing is, I know from listening to Jello's spoken word performances and speeches that he is pro-choice and is passionate about human rights in general. He is singing this song, not because he is against the ideas that are associated with liberalism, but because he resents people who only pretend to care about these issues while being apathetic and afraid of defending what they claim to believe. Any one who hears this thinking he is espousing far right shit isn't reading between the lines.
Jello is to the left of Liberal. Liberal is the middle of the political spectrum,. I know, that is a shock to most Americans. Radicals are the left (Socialists., Communists, Anarchists). The song (a cover of the original by Phil Ochs) mocks moderates whose values never seem to risk their personal interests.
@ReachDeep1 Hold it.. you're saying "Obama is a fascist?" Didn't you read the standard conservative playbook? Isn't he supposed to be a socialist - the opposite of a fascist?
@ReachDeep1 Denial is a river that runs deep with the "conservatives." Have you actually been paying attention? Did you not notice that the Clinton administration was the ONLY balanced budget in the past 20+ years? GW Bush inherited a surplus, but transformed it into a record deficit AND the largest government spending per capita? Obama inherited a disaster, and recovery will be a miracle. There's no easy solutions with the crap Bush left behind....
@ReachDeep1 Whatever abuse that might exist in the welfare sector is minor compared to the funds abused by the corporate sector. Have you paid attention to the Wall Street abuses? How about subsidies for the oil companies? At least with "liberals," we're more likely to have an actual balanced budget, something that hasn't happened with the "conservatives" in over 30 years.
I don't know what BIZARRO book of reasoning you're reading, but fascism and socialism are two very different types of government. Regarding that nonsense about about USA having the "second highest corporate tax code," the reality is the complete opposite. THe USA actually has the second LOWEST corporate tax code, based on recent data from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Office of Management and Budget, and the Census Bureau.
Look I think we got off on the wrong foot. I love the Dead Kennedys and even Lard as much as the next guy, and I don't see why my comment about Jello Biafra should piss you off.
@jbf138 dude, representative democracy sux. All I know, is that if we want anarchy, the first step on obtaining it, which can also be partially exemplified, in the 12 steps to corperate freedom, is that measures are adapted, immediately, without bullshit, bought-out bureaucracy to "regulate" such desire.
@junkyturd Not to Henry Rollins or Iggy Pop. I'm just kidding, harshly. I figure a guy who wrote a song called "I Kill Children" would be able to take it, lol.
Nazi Germany was a fascist state and in no way had a socialist form of government, despite the name "national socialist party." Socialism and fascism are pretty much at opposite ends of the spectrum. The only more opposite you could get is talking about communism and fascism.
@MondoReyTV1 genetics is a bitch. But then again, it seems to be a majority thing. Less than most keep a physique of virtual lack of change I've noticed. It is kind of eye opening. But it's also "cute" in a sense, pretty funny, and simply natural. Then again, I'm not a straight up genticist. It made me remember the first time I looked at pics of jello, off of various albums I either bought or stole(from stores not individuals), websites, of him in his younger (prime) years.
By the some people's definitions, a guy like Jesus would probably be considered "mentally diseased." Compassion for others seems to be considered a weakness, sadly.....
As the original comment put it, "socialism and fascism are pretty much at opposite ends of the spectrum." They are indeed, but both are equally extreme and oppressive. Take your 'spectral line' and make a ring out of it. You'll find they're both equally as harmful and totalitarian toward humanity. The point on the circled line farthest from both socio-political ideologies resides is that of maximum individual freedom, liberty, and volunteerism void of all statism and the evil of majority rule.
Phil Ochs would approve.
I was young when they were young, OMG I feel old now.
I was young when Phil Ochs sang this and feel younger today...

The most accurately liberal line I've ever heard in a song " I love Blacks and gays and Latinos, so long as they don't move next door" 😭😭 ahhhh white saviorism at its best lol
Oh man, if ever a Phil Ochs song needed updating, it was this one.
Much love from a far too cowardly liberal.

Oh man. They're both showing their age. And making me feel old at the same time. But that's ok, because there hasn't been anything in recent memory that could take their places.

kudos... to the papy rockers!!!
So, what is Jello up to these days?
What's important is not the outside but the inside.
Jello Biafra for president!
A better description is, he's criticizing people who care more about calling themselves "liberal" than standing for what that is supposed to mean. Liberal is different than leftist.
which one was in the super Mario movie???
Yeah people tend to look like that after some time. Except for you, you will be young forever.
biafra is live?:)samo napred "matori"
More punk bands need to cover Phil Ochs songs.
Hey, he might be fat but he still hasn't lost that awesome voice!
If this was truly a free Country...These guys would be senators of California.
Jello is a slob. But he's our slob.
THAT is Jello Biafra?
THAT is Mojo Nixon?
Well, I haven't seen them in years. So...
@Verminshow As in my book, I make it a point to look, at the fact, that not only do emerging things, require the correctly stimulating-incubation factors, yet also thatsuch can be found, in potentially profoud(not to brag, yet to point out lineages of conscious impact, in one light or another), is that not only do you not need to be in, or even fukkin' run for office, to care enough to originate affective ideas,
Viva Jello!

Who´s inside Jello?
@ejenkins132 The logic of calling Nazi's socialists is like saying the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea democratic or a republic.

Right wingers aren't the only people who hate liberalism

Sadly, it is hard to make out all of the words.

@mussman717word That happens when you get older!
danke jello rulez
Wow. This hurts to watch.
@ReachDeep1 Sorry, "Reach Deep" - you're in a world of your own, transcending reality...
I don't know what BIZARRO book of reasoning you're reading, but fascism and socialism are two very different types of government. Two peas in a pod

Where are the bearded, private school kids with $5k vintage instruments???s
@ReachDeep1 God forbid if anyone would actually care about the poor!
Everybody is aging. Damn, they kinda look me!
toad
I may get old but not fat. I can control my eating habits.
Damn I thought mojo was cool
