Dr. Unwin is very articulate and sensitive to "reframing" the language needed these days in explaining thoroughly the corrective actions needed with his patients.
Current corporately run U.S. hospitals are caught in a profit model that allows the doctor to spend only minimal time actually helping each patient.
The series of many of the videos "Diet Doctor" is showing has been excellent.
    I'm a new fan

I’m on Losartan Hydrochlorothiazide 50/12.5 tab since October 2022. No other medication for anything else whatsoever. Otherwise healthy 66 year old woman. My blood pressure is well controlled with medication but I am experiencing side effects (eczema,) and not looking forward to other possible side effects such as kidney failure, etc. So, of course, I would like to come off the medicine. i’m trying keto/carnivore for six weeks before my next cardiologist appointment so my only concern in the meantime is, can I still have the salt which my body on keto needs even though I’m on losartan? (My sodium was low normal range before starting the meds.) And what steps to take to accomplish that.

Amlodipine appears to cause a whole lot more than swollen ankles!

It's a mixed bag medication unfortunately. It's very good at ensuring good blood supply to organs for people with cardiovascular disease. More recently, there's been a suggestion that it has a protective effect against vascular dementia. That said, swelling, pain, and gum growth are known side effects.
