- Its summer 2021 on the River Great Ouse and we travel from Great Barford to Eaton Socon. Editing this video on a dark day in December definitely lifted my mood. I hope you enjoy it too.

Q• Why do you speed up some of the footage in your videos?
A• We don't, we film it as time-lapse footage. We do not have the battery capacity or data storage to film in real time as our cruises can last up to 7 or 8 hours. We use to the time-lapse footage to help tell the story of movement rather than showcase the scenery. We limit the amount of time-lapse shots we use in each vlog.
Q• Why are your video's so behind?
A• We would love to release all our video's in the same week that we film them but that isn't possible for us. Jo only really has the capacity to edit two video's per week and as we make a video for each cruise that we do and we some times cruise 3 or 4 or 5 times a week we inevitably get behind. We fit in the vlogs around our lives not the other way round.

Really nice to see shorts and tee shirts of August on this bitter day in Michigan. Was out a few minutes ago and filled the car with gasoline. 24° F with the wind chill it was 14°! Best holiday wishes from Central Michigan.

I can remember Great Barford lock when I walked round it and it was derelict in 1971.I never did get to Barford when I did most of the Ouse in 1918.It looks lovely so as I'm based in Northampton I shall have to do the trip soon and get to the end this time.
I'm confused that last vlog was doing the boat up. Have I missed something.?
Sorry for the confusion. I'll add a not to the description.We are currently on the outskirts of London doing boat renovations but we still have a number of vlogs to edit from the summer so we are alternating between the cruising vlog back log and the renovation vlogs. We do put the date at the start of each cruising vlog so viewers know when it was filmed.

They do. This was on the River Great Ouse and this is actually managed by the Environment Agency and not the Canal & River Trust.

Yeah, he is not usually allowed one on the back of the boat for that very reason.
