    It is a completely foreign lifestyle to me but I still like them better than lawyers and politicians.

    When I was at the Gila National Forest, New Mexico Gathering back in 1977 there was nothing and I mean NOTHING man made. LSD was not anywhere to be found. There was no need for it. We tripped on peyote buttons and psilocybin mushrooms. What we really tripped on was the energy of the earth and the love that we shared with one another as perfect strangers. The OM circles were incredible. The energy that we shared with one another took us to levels that are hard to explain.

      That is so fucking retarded. You were not feeling "LOVE". You were feeling a false sense of belonging and happiness due to the drugs. If you have to do drugs to feel love and peace with the Earth you really need to look inside yourself.

    I Love kind people everywhere & I don't care what label society and especially haters, put on you. A good hearted person is a good hearted person! End the stereotypical, ignorant judgment towards anything or anyone just because their way isn't your way. Live and let live. Mind your own fucking business! Be concerned with what You are doing..not everybody else. You're opinion of others is Not really important to anyone but You! & finally, If you don't like it or agree with..walk the fuck away! Choose your own path home. & smile anyway:)

    Honestly, for those who decide to post negative comments, there are always exceptions. There are always going to be those who give a bad rap for the whole thing. Yes, there are a lot of people who come who are homeless, that's a refuge for them. It's not a lie, you were just unfortunate to interact with the wrong people there.

    I went to Rainbow this year.. 2021. It was such a rich spiritual experience. People were praying for the earth, and the sick. We danced around fires, and sang out our woes. I hope it helps heal the people collective, one small reach at a time. 💕

    I like the idea of a "party" type event where alcohol isn't the drug of choice for most attendants. All events have assholes who are out to cause harm, so blaming "stupid hippies" for the actions of a few psychos is retarded.
    So many haters in the comment section! If you don't like hippies, don't come to hippie videos and leave stupid comment. i.e. - get a life outside your mom's basement.

    I am a rainbow from the Gila National Forest, New Mexico 1977 gathering. It was sooo different! I feel so sorry for these young people. They are missing the whole concept of the gathering but I don't think its their fault. They need true rainbows around them to share the energy. It is not just absorbed from the earth. It needs to be transformed from the human spirit. Somebody dropped the ball somewhere. Yes 30,000 people is a lot of people. When I was there there were 6000. The spirit itself is so powerful it takes very little effort to be spread. On tiny OM circle goes a long way. Especially with young people who are oozing with energy.

    You can consider yourself that when you aren't excepting each other based on something like that. I can see where others would come from. Having such a wonderful thing and then the drinking and partying taking it over. I saw it at music festivals, no doubt. But I'm just hoping at my first one I wont have to feel the way I do when I go to a festival. It sucks.

    i went to the rainbow gathering in ocala florida in 2011 and my experience was full of love, acceptance, drugs. and spirituality. it took a day or two to get acclimated to the family but once i did, it was all about love and respect and music. everyone helped each other, no one was ever in need. i really found some solid peace in the woods. i would love to go back and stay for a week or longer.

    The hippy movement was a branch from Bohemianism, which was born in France when a group of artists, poets and actors lived in the slums of the citys near Romani (gypsies) that had traveled there from Bohemia(the Czech Republic). They watched how the Romani disregarded the laws and views of the people, living by their own views and way of life. These people of the arts adopted this way of life and dubbed it as bohemianism(a misconception because the gypsies had just left Bohemia, but Bohemians (Czechs) are western Slavic, Germanic, and Celtic ) It traveled to America and was later practiced by the beginning of the hippy movement. It was altered some, the hippies stood for more of a political and social rebellion, insisting that people should be able to live free and express themselves how they chose. However, after learning the Native Americans would take peyote for a spiritual contact, the hippies began to experiment with drugs. Not long after, the true movement was blemished by fully blown drug addicts that were more about staying stoned, than an actual cause. They yelled peace, love and freedom, yet were a menace to society, most not working and contributing nothing back where they lived , unpaid hospital bills and many today are on welfare because of poor health from a life time of drug abuse, or, sold out from all the claimed and went back to reality. Make no mistake, hippy lifestyle was born from Bohemianism, and Bohemianism is about "Self Expression" NOT Self Destruction" Drugs and alcohol use lead to spiritual chaos. Its typical America to spoil a good movement, its never enough.....

    @po3ticTreachery - Robert Calvin Gordon III (guy in the teepee) did actually have alot to say, but I felt the story was about the conflict between the Shawntaseena and the Projects kids and how it was worked out, so I kept focus there. I also wanted to keep the doc at 30 minutes. I will have more from Robert in the bigger doc.

    *We the People are all free sovereign independent people. We the People are all equal. The sheeples are ignorant of that. Sheeples requires a master (government) and a shepherd (religion) to lead them. The old paradigm doesn't work. A prosperous, peaceful, healthy way of life awaits those who are awake and aware. These changes requires the People taking control of their own destiny and creating a world that We the People want. Wake Up and Be Aware!!!*

    • @cabooseabs6864
      @cabooseabs6864 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zapo if you think human beings can all get along without some type of government or law you are delusional. That's just not how human nature works. Thousands of years ago tribes still raided and killed each other for resources. You might be able to get a fairly large group of people to live off the land in small tribes, but you will always have a more organized group that comes along and wants to take their resources and land. Because that small tribal group isn't organized they won't stand a chance against the well organized group. "we the people of the world" will never all agree on what we want, there will always be conflict. The world today, while far from perfect, is WAY less brutal and painful than in the past.

    is how I was treated at your age.im 26 and people still act the same way. Most of them only know how to complain about situations they create and pick on others who dont conform to the way "they think it should be"They watch their utopia be consumed by individualism and they cannot admit to themselves that they are the corrupted.If you truly want to be free just be yourself, youll make plenty of freinds.However there is no perfect situation where everybody gets better than mainstream society.
