Nasty. I stayed there 25 years ago when Mexico looked like traditional Mexico. This hotel WAS gorgeous...local real wood and tile. Nothing modern and cold. Sad to see this abrupt turn in architecture towards lifeless, sterile, and bland. Watch COCO , or the James Bond movie filmed in Mexico ,to see what beautiful Mexican looks like.
We are at the Riu Tequila this week from Montreal. We took the Jr Suite and love it.

Yes they do. The video we made was of a standard room with just a shower, but the larger suites will have bathtubs 👍🏻

There are 2 main pools, a kids pool, plus a swim up bar - so 3. But yes, they do have a swim-up at tequila!

Was this room one of the double rooms or did this constitute as the King bed since the beds were pushed together?
This was a double room, but yes in some cases they push the beds together to make a bigger one 🙈

We didn’t sleep in this exact room - but most beds at these resorts are quite firm. If you like a firm bed, then you will like this one 👍🏻

Yes typically, but the toilet is enclosed behind a door
