The MLB Player That Chooses To Live In A Van

  • What if I told you there was a player in the MLB who chooses to live out of a van. That's right. Once a top prospect, Daniel Norris would rather sleep in his van than live in a nice house or apartment with the millions of dollars he's accumulated throughout his baseball career. It's a fascinating story that everyone can take something away from.

Been homeless off and on since 2012. Started living in a tent at a campground for over 90 days this year and living peaceful and around nature, going barefoot. I'm thankful I have this option, but I like having a roof over my head for 8 months of the year. Being homeless has taught me not to take life for granted and that I really didn't need all the materialistic things I once had when I had a home and property back in 2007. I've learned to live a more simplistic and minimalistic life and that's ok! Mr. Norris is a true believer of following your dreams! From a Vietnam Era Marine Corps veteran.

I once saw D No nearly throw a kid out who was trying to tag from 3rd - from the center field warning track! He also drilled a line drive off me and nearly broke my leg! Outstanding player and a great guy

I HONESTLY wonder if Daniel would do better if he was picked up by a west cost team somewhere where he could be by the ocean somewhere with waves that he could go clear his head before heading to the field to play and back to the ocean after the game to release his stress and get back to 0 again. Like Anaheim or the dodgers, where he could be in Newport Beach and at the stadium in 45 minutes or in the mountains and back to the field in a hour. Either I wish him nothing but the best in the rest of his career and life.

Loved him on the M's. Especially when his pitches got ludicrously slow.

Dudes is married to a hot pro surfer so even if baseball career is over, he is doing well.
Not sure if his MLB career is over, hopefully another team will give him another chance.

I met this dude around 10 years ago the only reason why I knew who he was was because the café owner told me I approached him we sat down and talked for about 30 minutes and I was shocked he didn’t live this lifestyle for likes and views everything he said was authentic organic I wish nothing but success and happiness for him

The Nationals need the pitching hopefully he comes to DC. That way he can be close to his family and he can do Surferin down in Virginia Beach and Ocean City MD. It may not be California, but at least he will close to his family.

Correction, Johnson city is part of the tri state area, which is associated with Virginia and Tennessee, not really North Carolina, though it is situated in the corner of Carolina and Virginia. It’s that way because of Bristol. I’m from bristol. There’s a street downtown that literally splits Virginia and Tennessee. I lived in Virginia and went to school in Tennessee. Spent a lot of time in Johnson city and south Holston lake as a kid. Pretty cool that he pitched for the tigers, because when I lived in Bristol, they had the Bristol tigers, who were a rookie level team in the Appalachian league. Then they became the white Sox, then the pirates, and I believe they don’t exist anymore. 😂 Not a big deal, just threw me off when you said Carolina and Johnson city.
