- The one we have all been waiting for! The time has finally come to install the So Low Air Ride kit to the T5 camper project. Massive thank you to Transporter HQ / So Low for the great deal on the air ride kit and a massive thank you to Lowdown Transporters for taking time out of their busy schedule to fit the air ride for me. We coupled the So Low air with Airlift Performance 3H management and twin So Low Shhh Silent compressors.

You were up in my neck of the Woods, which reminds me that I need to Pop over to Wymondham to see an old friend of mine. A very well thought out Air system that you are fitting to the van. The Landy in the background got me interest, as it looks like the body is off the chassis and someone has tucked a set of wheel in the arches. Now going to watch part two.
Installed well isn't it! The Landy is sat on a Beetle chassis! Thank you for watching.

Just found you and am looking forward to seeing how your workshop comes together, I am disabled and spend all my time in my ManCave building Radio Controlled trucks cars tractors etc. I used to do builds like you are doing with your VW plus my three boys kept me busy doing custom jobs on their cars back in the day. Not sure what area you live in I am in sunny Felixstowe so if close by I would always come and hold a spanner for you lol.

I, what do you use as your standard ride Height? I'm trying to get mine to a sensible low on air whilst driving. I'm accuair so if you could give a ruff measurement from ground to top of arch I'd be greatful.
Did you guys just mounted the compressors and tank with rivnuts?

Is this the same van from the first build where you sprayed it with rattle cans? Still looks great if it is, I've been curious how the paint has been holding up through everyday use
It’s a different van. Would be good to see what the first one looks like now though.
No bud different van. That one is still around. I got sent photos of it a few weeks back. It has had some changes made, not stuff I would do.

How does it work for selling van on with notching structural parts ?
If you are open about what's been done it shouldn't be a problem. If someone interested in the van if I ever sold it was worried about structural cutting then it definitely isn't the van for them.

Will this system allow you to level the van when camping?
To an extent. You can level off front to rear ok but not much side to side due to the ant roll bars linking the sides.
What make / brand did you use for your half shafts ?
